I do posses Msc in Applied Geophysics, Bsc in Geology and mineral sciences, with NEBOSH intl cert in Oil and Gas safety IOGC and NEBOSH IGC...and also will do my ISOs when I arrive by God's grace with the job I get. I don't mind starting from somewhere when I arrive. All is about determination and zeal to be great. Cos jobs scarce for naija o and people dey lose jobs anyhow. Just believe and pray... everything would work out.

Hello house please I need your candid advise.
Although I have a job here in Lagos but I'm keen on getting an employment visa in UAE with the intention of moving to either the US or Canada in future.
The issue is, I have contacted an agent through a friend who have offered a job in a school for a fee of 780k.. visa, ticket, accommodation all inclusive except feeding.
Salary is 2000usd as stated. He also mentioned that the employment is direct..

Earning almost 780k in UAE with free accomodation definitely makes you a King

The OP never mentioned a teaching Job but Job in a school, also no one would employ a teacher via direct employment unless as a non academic staff.

@tunji.... am not a new person in safety cos have got some yrs of experience in it., that's my chosen path. What other certifications do u think I could go for other than my 3 ISOs 14001, 18001 and 9001 which is about 600k for the three and also going for NEBOSH diploma which is like 1m not to talk of other little ones like fire fighting etc. U asked a friend of mine for the ISO materials and he sent them to you... is it not to upgrade urself over there?

go read my write up again....@tunji. Another friend just secure one just last week. Cos he was a security officer there...buh he did his NEBOSH and one of the ISO... how he is working in abu dhabi. I didnt say with NEBOSH u will automatically get a safety officer job. I said start from somewhere and get better certifications in ur chosen field.

The cheapest course to take in my field is 5000aed, which has 4 modules. making it 20k for one complete certification. but its worth it.
but people take Nebosh IGC and jump into the market hoping to have a breakthrough. when lots of ppl have it with even GCC experience.
i always ask them to think outside the box. but me wan do Nebosh too.

Thanks for your input, yes salary quoted is 2000dirhams. Not a teaching job but as a school bus attendant. 780k is processing fee charged by the agent. Although am convinced it's genuine I just have this fear probably fear of the unknown..guess it's cos I have a job here and all but like I said, aim is to move to d us from there.
