There isn't much that can be done. At the end of the day, the situation in each country influences how these "developed" nations make their decisions.
USA and Canada, even with your money, have been less friendly than Germany over the years.

If the Consulate continues to ignore requests for students to be interviewed in Abuja, that's probably because there is an order from Berlin.

I urge everyone to be diplomatic and civil with this issue.

Hopefully they reconsider, but there are already signs that things are going to change.

Congratulations on the Hamburg news...hopefully we catch up in Hamburg (if that's your top choice)

Good luck!

thanks I really appreciate your reply sir. Even am fasting and praying about it bro. Thanks for your concern sir. God bless you. I strongly believe that great things will come out from it.

You forgot include "bsc certificate". A copy of ones bsc certificate is also needed. Most banks also requests for this to process form A. With that, your form A has already been processed in the spirit realm, just waiting to manifest into reality.

Yes your right, I have modified it, I omitted it , thanks

I did mine in a town in Kogi state (Obajana), but the real thing is done in their head office Lagos, the branches will just accept the applications and forward to Lagos for approval .. Just explain to them very well, there should be a way to do it for you naa

Hello Everyone.

Please, i have a question i need to ask and get answers for.

My application was rejected today on the ground that i couldn't provide means of finance.

And i plan funding my block account this week. Is there any way i can appeal that or do i need to start afresh?

Awaiting kind response.

Thanks

Hello. So sorry for the rejection. You can write an appeal to the embassy explicitly detailing your case and how funding has been an issue because of bureaucratic hassles. Hopefully they'll be able to see reason with you.

Quick question: did the embassy give you a deadline to fund? If they did, how long was it?

Please to the gurus in the house I have this few questions.
1.what are the chances of getting visa if u are using a sponsor?
2.Using sponsor that does not reside close the area where ur school is e.g northern and southern part.does that affect ur chance of getting a visa?
3. Now that the latest news is that all dates are booked already.please is there any other way to book an appointment at the embassy so that this admission will not waste. Your Swift response will be appreciated. Thanks

Guten tag everyone, please I need a little information on paying uni assist handling cost from Nigeria, I did go through the uni assist website and noticed credit card payment from Nigeria isn't allowed however one can pay directly from a bank with some following informations given. My question is after payment, how does one send receipt/ proof of payment to uni-assist? Cos My university requires me to only upload my credentials online (uni-assist portal) other than sending via courier services. Please I need someone to give me a better understanding on the processes involved in Nigerian banks..Danke!
first and foremost if you haven't go to Nigeria banks it will have been good and fine. The fastest and easier way to pay the uniassist processing fee is for someone studying or working in Germany to pay for you. Honorableseyi help me out on it and I paid the money into his Nigeria bank account. Just do it on time. After the payment of the processing fee, uniassist will notify you in 5 days. So hurry up and do the needful.

Moreover, if am to ask, which semester are you applying for, cos i know its over for winter?

if you have any further questions, feel free to ask me or any other persons here. Cheers

I'm applying for the upcoming winter semester next year.. since they admit in winter semester only. gathering my documents at the moment.
Pls concerning the info you gave, you mean I shud liase with my HOD to give me the grading system of the school? and it must be certified?

If this is a general issue and not peculiar to Nigeria alone like you suggested, i believe it will be resolved pretty soon.
The point you raised about Germany spending a lot on educating citizens and foreigners is understandable, but some of us have admission to private schools that require tuition and still are affected by this visa appointment situation. Having said that, we all should make efforts to let the public know the situation, we never can tell who help will come from.
Cheers

Eldeee:
@johnnyessence, a big congratulations to you, by the grace of the Almighthy God, we will rock the geospatial world. During the week, i somehow stumbled into a thread for pakistanis and indians and discovered they are also facing the same thing we are experiencing about visa interview denials after admissions, infact some students from bangladesh complained bitterly that not even a single student have been interviewed not to talk of granting a student visa.

i have personally sent a passionate appeal to the German embassy in Abuja, requesting for possible student interview schedule for us here in Nigeria citing different challenges we are faced with at the moment such schools granting admissions very late, scarcity of passport booklets and delays in admission decisions by some schools, but still no response till date.

I also sent a mail to the international office of my university, citing the same situation and requested for them to assist, but still no single response from them which is quite unlike them. I have to forward a mail to the program director for my intended course, and she sincerely told me the government and the immigration have directed they remain mute as regards this which is definitely beyond them as it stands.

The German government is definitely spending a large chunk of their finance on education which is not just for their citizens alone but also for me and you inclusive and other persons all over the world. The population of applicants in no doubts keep increasing and this is definitely a challenge to their budget which i believe you should understand. Pls brothers and sisters lets thread comments with caution while sending messages via social media and other means. This i have come to understand from the indians and pakistanis who are already there.

Its quite disheartening how selfish some of us can be here, we keep complaining about those who have already made some steps by being there, on how they have not been dropping some lines here, but we fail to offer informative and timely information, while some enjoy sitting on the fence as observers and only comment when they need help. Some of us are very much aware of this situation last year and failed to provide timely information to the house. Its all well.

Sorry if my write up doesn't go down well, but i hope we all understand and make valuable adjustments for the benefit of one another.. Thanks in all.

Form A is still available, most bankers will be quick to turn you down though as soon as they don't see a school account. But with little patience and explanation, they might agree after contacting their headquarter in most cases.

So sorry to hear this, Yea, no probz. We never can tell, please give it a shot.

If I may ask,
When did you go for interview?
Where you given funding deadline date?
What's the interval between the interview date and the date you were sent a mail to fund which includes deadline date( should you receive any mail at all after the interview before the reject came in).

Hi Neccki, do you have A2 german certificate since you will be studying in Schweinfurt/wurzburg. I need FHWS to send me a mail stating that German proficiency is not required for enrolment. I have only A1 certificate and FHWS gives the option of attaining A2 german level within the first year after enrolment. I have sent the i-campus an email since on Sunday and still expecting their reply for them to just send me an email saying german proficiency is not required for enrolment at the same time finding a way to fund my blocked account.

If there is anyone studying in FHWS wurzburg-Schweinfurt, please help answer this. cc honourableseyi

Good morning fams,
I really feel for the the monkier "daontop" that got rejected on the ground of funding yesterday. I urge u to seek for an appeal str8 up (God would intervene but try fund immediately u get an appeal approval). On the other hand, It would been reasonable for you to come give the house more of what really happened on that day so we could dish out little more input that could help u too. So unfortunate, gone are those days that our seniors share their interview transcript (though that's a personal discretion but it's vital for we to carry ourselves along) but this our set na another name we dey bear cos the ones we read from other pages are still the ones we're banking on while updates is going on. Let's try and encourage ourselves by sharing our transcript. I think the last time I read on this thread, my moniker was the last that shared an interview transcript (not really encouraging).
However, it has come to my notice that if people come out here to post that they got a refusal, we wouldn't see any other post from them (I think I read 2 weeks ago of a guy, till date we didn't hear anything about his refusal or any other thing he did thereafter) please make we stop all dx attitude of starting wetin we no go fit finish.
It would really be encouraging if we could go back to the drawing board as most of this issues needs to be addressed. When we don't share transcript of our interview, tell me even if it's updated what would incoming applicants read. Remember Germany now changes most of of their policies which could be one of the eminent information people could get.
Abeg make we adjust ooooo.
