Completed my online course registration, remaining holds on my account were lifted and I saw financial part of the whole matter.
I am required to pay ~$7,200 assuming I didn't get any tuition waiver.

Graduate school says they are still compiling the names of people awarded free money, a little more time and an adjustment will reflect on my account.

The fees should be around $3,000.

I just got my student I.D now from the Student Union Building today...

Nice! My undergrad was in Petroleum Engineering. Here's my profile:
Undergraduate GPA: (Nigeria uni, Petroleum Engineering)
3.09/5 (2.97/4- WES)
TOEFL: 104 (R 30, L 28, S 24, W 22)
GRE: 309 (Q 157, V 152, A 3.5)
Have you met anyone with a PE background yet?

Please kindly give a review of classes for the benefit of those who may be considering the school.

Was your undergrad also in IE? and can you please give an estimate of the required funds based on your experience so far?
Was the $3,000 you paid the total tuition package for the year or semester?

You once mentioned meeting a spring entrant on almost full funding his he also in IE?

Thanks!

(Apologies for the series of questions)

Why is your WES over 3?

Your GRE and TOEFL scores are very good for application here.

When classes start, I'll write about my classes.

I used an uncle, if one has no guarantor for an apartment managed by a 'property firm' I doubt if they would issue one a space. They offer 9 or 12 month leases/contract from my experience.

'Independent apartments' e.g a building owned by an individual might accept without a guarantor. They also accept month to month payments.

What's the graduate tuition of your school?

Estimated total Annual cost is ~$27k for international Graduate students.
I will be doing 3 courses/9 credit hours and staying at an off campus accommodation.

Here's a link for the full breakdown.
http://www.tamuk.edu/finaid/Cost_of_Attendance/

I got issued a Total 'Amount Due' of ~$7,200 for this semester... This is what I owe the school for ALL fees.
This figure will be corrected after they apply my tuition waiver.

If you don't understand any part, lemme know.

Is the 9 credit hours for the entire masters program or just for this session because i've seen people with credit hours. Also, do you know if it's possible to pay credit hour by credit hour instead of the whole fee. I don't know exactly how it works. And how close is it to Houston, Texas because i have places to stay in Houston should i decide to attend your school. I know how huge Texas is though.

Also did you pay half or all of your tuition before you were given an I-20

Is TOEFL or IELTS mandatory for a Nigerian student who is proficient in English already?

1. Is the 9 credit hours for the entire masters program or just for this session because i've seen people with credit hours.

* 9hours this semester but 27k should see someone thru a full year without funding or on campus job.

2. Also, do you know if it's possible to pay credit hour by credit hour instead of the whole fee. I don't know exactly how it works.

* I know they do 3 units, btw 3 - 6 units and 9 each set being a certain amount BUT to remain in status visa-wise, one has to offer at least 9units for this my fall and 9 for spring.
If I get any new info or knowledge, I'll notify the house.

3. And how close is it to Houston, Texas because i have places to stay in Houston should i decide to attend your school. I know how huge Texas is though.

* I hear it's 3.5hrs for private vehicles and I did 5.5hrs by Greyhound.
I met a guy that said he wants to come for classes from San Antonio which is 2.5hrs away. He works there.

4. Also did you pay half or all of your tuition before you were given an I-20.

* I didn't and still haven't paid anything, already got my student I.D.

5. Is TOEFL or IELTS mandatory for a Nigerian student who is proficient in English already?

* They mailed that toefl was compulsory, they used my GRE verbal score tho. Them suppose fit waive am, abeg Nigeria speaks English.
