NB: If you need customised tone, you can download MP3 or create, say, 10sec MP3 file and add it to your ringtones folder, else na only stock tones you'll have access to.

Maybe there are no official pronouncements but that doesn't override the fact that it is wrong for them as a brand to make fones of the same model with different sourced parts. Definitely one will turn out well than the other.

Now, some customers are lucky to get ones with a better camera while some are left in a sorry state —even though they might have all paid the same amount depending on the seller. Xiaomi should have just given them different names just like they distinguished note 4 and let us make our choices.

No one is cheated you say? Imagine, I paid same amount as m

BTW I got to know about the camera sensors used in RN4X on the MIUI forum and not here

Guys, since I made the latest update on my Redmi 3s, I've noticed that my open apps force close after sometime.
I can't queue a download and sleep off, because my uc mini will close. Same goes was chrome and other apps.
What Could be the solution ?

No, I will still advise you to buy xiaomi despite all those confusions but if you don't want to be disappointed, just buy the MI series. Xiaomi don't joke with that series I think unlike the Redmi

There is no point in defending Xiaomi here, my brother no be only you like Xiaomi, we all probably do here.
The point is, Xiaomi bleeped up. There is no two ways about this argument.
The Redmi note 4/4x with Sony sensors are better than the ones later fitted with samsung and another I just heard of.
Making an official statement statement about it would have atleast made buyers aware of what they are likely to get.

Just because I like something or someone no mean say make I no yarn am correct truth. Infact people you love are the ones you should scold the more.

Oga there is nothing to defend here. They never made any promise. It was sites like gsmarena and Android authority that kept spreading rumors about the Sony sensor. Even gsmarena always have a caveat at the end of every post. With expectation comes disappointment.

And about my love for xiaomi, you should go back to posts in October or November where I kept disagreeing with their business model. You think everyone here who counters an argument about xiaomi is a fanboy?

At your spare time, read the links below on how samsung used two different sensors on its flagship phone, the s8.

The comments in the below link are particularly interesting

No one is cheated you say? Imagine, I paid same amount as most people here, we are probably enjoying same functions but some are enjoying a better camera.

NB: I won't be this disappointed if all RN4Xs are the same but subjecting me luck is what I don't fancy.

BTW I got to know about the camera sensors used in RN4X on the MIUI forum and not here

Was it also Wrong for Samsung to use different sensors on its s8 flagship phone without informing anyone or issuing a statement prior to its release?

I just don't get what people are complaining about. Brands use diff components that meets their specification or aim in building their devices. Devices are modular products; HP uses different components in their manufacturing, but you see them specifying their components brand names, even refrigerator manufacturers use components from different brands.
As I've said earlier, electrical/electronic appliances are modular products with components from different manufacturers.
