My lovely people in the house please i need your advice:

My middle name was written as " Shola " on my land doc (deed & survey) instead of " Sola " as on my credentials & Int'l passport.
Can i go ahead to use it as one of my home ties or will that raise unnecessary doubts in the mind of VO. Please advise.
Please get a confirmation of name from your local court. It might just save you, dont overlook it, clear your path by yourself because d VO mit be in doubts.... Note: 'mit'

I think the application fee is around 55k, but go with atleast 60k(in case u break somebody's egg...LOL!). you will do biometrics same day. NB: VFS only accepts cash (no POS)
Haha, I was already thinking of going with that amount in order to avoid stories.
Thanks.

Good evening all, I got a mail from the office of the high commission stating the following as the reason why my visa application was refused " You have not satisfied that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors including: - length of proposed stay in Canada and purpose of visit." I have contacted the school for my admission to be deferred to January. I will be reapplying without my children. Can I start the process now? I have two admission offers I intend to reapply for my visa application using the course with a shorter duration of 16months. The duration of the second program is 2 yrs. kindly assist

I still stand on the fact that when applicants cant show academic or career progression with any intended program of study(PGD, masters and PhD), it raises questions. I am not arguing and its not the obvious because you have said it and believed it.

There are many PGDs who show career progression and are still denied. The issue is not simply career progression. There is a general thinking among VOs that those who are going for PGD are probably not going to be bonafide students, that many use the opportunity to bail out of the country. A person with career progression just pm'd me that she was denied visa for a PGD. My advice: apply for a Masters or PHD and see reason, "purpose of study" change. VOs take masters students serious, and PHD students, very serious. PGD students they take not serious to pursue academic studies in Canada and that is why the rate of denial for PGD is significantly higher than all the rest.

I agree with you. While there are still people going the PGD route and getting Visas, majority of them get denied.
PGD admission is very easy to get, most people do not even have to do any form of writing to get the admission so it becomes the 'easier route' to schooling in Canada. The VOs know this, so to get approved in this 2017 o, your case must be extremely convincing.
To be honest, quite a number of PGD students from Nigeria, do not have genuine intent to study in Canada. PGD students get approved everyday from other countries (as seen on Canadavisa) but we Nigerians must have done something in Canada to be getting these high denial rate.
Go for masters to be on the safe side.

Yes. I have ordered for it. I was informed it would takr 40 days to vet to me.

i thought the correspondence from Visa Office was clear enough to indicate what i need to prove well in my second application. Just for my enlightenement, what more would the GCMS contain ?

Secondly, i feel i am running out of time to meet the timeline to apply for the January intake since it took 3 months for the visa office to reply me the last time. if I dont put in early enough feel i might miss that too.

one more thing, does anyone have an idea of the time it might take to move the children over there if i got the visa this time. im very worried about them since my husband works in a different state and we do not have anyone so close that we could leave them with for the time being.

Thank you all.

What is the essence of ordering for gcsm file when you want to apply before it comes out?

1. Waste of money.

2. Gamble

3. Impatient.

That's all I see if you go ahead to apply before it comes out.

Wait for it before applying so that you have idea of what the VO concluded about your file.

But all the same, follow your instinct.

All the best.

Hello boss,

The colored might not necessarily be the case.

Although every application is treated different but you cannot tender what you don't have as home tie. The home ties he presented are what he has and that should fly. I only showed my dad, mum and siblings as home ties without even submitting their birth certificates or anything linking me to them and I got approved, all thanks to God.

However, the main reason @ aade5 got rejected is because the VO is not satisfied he is a bona fide student and would leave Canada at the end of his studies even though he has funding

@aade5, what is the content of your SOP? How did you link your bachelors, work experience, your intend programme and your future goals? That is what the VO is missing in this case.

I would suggest you order your gcms notes, to see the details of refusals.

Sorry @aade5 for the refusal.

You will get it next time

Cheers...

Mazi

Comparing your application made in China to those applying in Nigeria is like comparing apples and oranges. There is a big difference between applying in China and in Nigeria. In China it would be easy for you, but in Nigeria, the VOs have seen every trick in the book and therefore are tough on Nigerians and Ghanian applicants. You have to do more to obtain visa in Nigeria than in other countries. If you used only your parents as ties in China and did not submit birthcerticates, in Nigeria you have to do more.

What is this deeds and survey I have been hearing lately? My land documents is only deeds, no survey. Is submitting a survey also necessary when submitting visa application?

I think you should still wait for your gcms note to come out. It is a document that shows the detailed reason the Visa Officer delayed your application. The one ticked is just a general reason without much information.
There is still enough time to meet up with January class. The note should be put before the end of September since you have requested for it and then you can put in your visa application in October.
You can apply for you children to join you as soon as you land in Canada. Just make sure, you have everything sorted i.e finances, accommodation, daycare/school, nanny and all that stuff. (This will show that you are prepared and their presence won't affect your education).
What school did you apply to?

Do you mean WES?
just go to their website and read up on the process. It is a very easy process and all the information you need is on there. Course by course evaluation is about C$460.

Sir the question was answered, whether TRV or study permit, they are distinctions without a difference when it comes to applying for EE and that effecting your visa application. Again the answer is an emphatic no. Applying for a student permit/or TRV and EE at the same time is fine.

Dear Jnyuwa02,

God bless you for firstly being matured in re-asserting your earlier posited opinion.(Some may have reacted the other way)

As you have re-stated your position now again, it's clear you have info about what you are saying and I appreciate you for that.

If that's the case, I will go ahead and submit my EE application this October 2017 whilst I wait to apply for my Study Permit in March 2018

Thanks once again.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Benstone: 11:20am On Aug 11, 2017
The problem most people are facing right now is that they have been derailed by some agents, Am not criticising here ooo, most people got to know those thread after their first application,
Let me share my story.
In the year 2012, i applied to medicine hat college for a certificate program, I was refused, due to my ignorance, I reapplied still refusal.
In the year 2013,I applied for another Bsc at University of windsor Civil engineering, got refused.
I used the whole 2014 to pursue an MBA at University of Regina and University of prince Edward Island.
My TRV application for MBA was denied twice in the year 2015.
I went back to check my profile.
Bsc second class upper, civil engineering.

So after going through this thread, I realised that I have been derailed for several years,
So, I was granted an admission at lakehead, masters Civil engineering fall intake, then got my Trv last year.

My advice is that please dont let us be derailed, lets check our academic background.
Most agent will advise a 2:1 Candidate to go for graduate diploma because of the commission they get from those colleges and easy admission process.
Please take time to hustle for admission, its your career, I choose course based, program.
