We just need a new major source of revenue, and we have to increase our tax payment (amongst the lowest in the world).
In view of Nigeria's population, our oil is not enough when you compare with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait with low taxes like us.
Nigeria remains 6th largest farm output in the world, we just need stable power and increased spending on infrastructure from higher taxes.

before the populace will pay tax, they must know what they're paying it for. the kinda infrastructure u see in developed countries warrants the level of tax their citizens pay. like the case of US; their citizens enjoy so many services from the government and wont complain when paying taxes. if u'll get my point. dont wanna go further.

we should thank baba iyabo truly, he fought very hard for the paris club debt to be forgiven. we actually paid only 1/4 of our debt in that year.but ever since then, we don't borrow unnecessary funds and we manage our economy very well.
