brownsucre1: At the words in bold; very correct! It happened in the previous recruitment, some people were invited to training school a year after the first and second batches were invited . My source told me that of course this years GTP would have slots in training school coming in batches, so if you have not done your AC yet, be ready to wait more, that's the bitter truth you have to swallow. I think FBN usually doesn't like inviting all qualified candidates at once to training school because of the fact that they want to have time to replace trainees who would fail along the way with those on the waiting list, that way it would be a continuous process of trainees passing through the training school till they get the number they need for that year's GTP recruitment. To all training school hopefuls like myself, yes FBN training school is like a dream luxury of a place to be and all but a lot of hard work is ahead, we would be writing over 30 courses and pass mark is 70% for each! 9 Likes 2 Shares |

cloud9usher: From all I'm hearing, it means if you have not yet conducted AC then you are on a long thing o, the waiting will be long o, chaaii! FBN na wa! If you have not yet conducted AC I think its right to say you can get something doing to take your mind off FBN for a while. |

So I called HCP guys for the first time yesterday to know if those of us yet to get AC invite would have to wait for another batch and the lady that answered said "No", I again asked if she could give me a time frame from which we would get an AC invite, she still said she cant do that projection, that we would be contacted when its time for our AC...... so fellow chill pillers, get urselves busy cos no defined time or plan for our ACs for now...... Cheers Cloud9usher and brownsucre1 keep us posted with any latest developments and genuine information abeg 3 Likes |

brownsucre1: Na WA o, I don't understand this method of recruitment... I think everyone should be given a fair chance at the same time. Let's just hope this your reliable source proves not to be reliable this time around, because truly AC has not been conducted for like two weeks now. |

ezzo09: Bro I'm not trying to scare you, I'm only prepping us to be prepared for the task ahead because training school isn't all fun and ice cream, the environment is lovely and all, the food is super great but you'd be purposely stressed to extreme levels intellectually and you'd be expected to pass over 30 courses by 70% at least. The task ahead is great but achievable! 1 Like |

@cloud9 when do you think the Medicals and Documentation will be? cloud9usher: |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by cloud9usher: 12:56pm On Aug 16, 2017 |
kolawoleoladipo: I heard september 2017 (i.e for those who have completed their AC), I even wish it was earlier if I must confess, but now with all these delays in completing AC for everyone things are so unpredictable. FBN HCMD can still change whatever date they want though, but the initial set out time for this years' GTP was set at November 2017 for training school for first batch of invited candidates. |

chudionu58: Yeah yeah, meaning more good news for new GT hopefuls like us. I'm not trying to make anyone feel happy or something but the fact is that the toughest part of your journey to working with FBN was scaling through that aptitude test and making the 12% mark that were invited for AC. Because you'd need to perform VERY poorly in the AC (which I know most wouldn't) for you not to be invited to training school over time. The only issue here is that we would have different times for invitation to training school, some might wait for 6 months after others have been invited. And then now that AC had been kept on hold for some candidates it means those affected would wait a little longer. They weren't deceiving us when they told us during AC that FBN has the capacity to employ all 2,500 candidates that were invited for AC. 1 Like |

RAY12345: Just running through my mentions now and saw your post, sorry I'm replying now, I must have had my hands full with mentions back then and I missed replying you. Well, to your question; FBN continuously trains staff on a need to know and improvement basis, this exercise forms part of appraisal marks to be awarded during year end performance rating. The heads of branches or departments recommend staff for training if a knowledge gap or improvement need is identified. Educational and career advancement is also encouraged. FBN sees the bank's employees and workforce not just as a resource but also a capital in which it is a necessary tool for the bank's business to excel. |

Pls, which state are you talking about here? I took part in an assessment/interview some three weeks ago and we were told they'd get back to us in a week's time. The silence has been deafening since then. |

Obinna101: The difference is abt 5k but the good tin abt GTP is de fact that u'll be a core staff & dat brings abt a measure of job security unlike d contract stuff dat u may not be converted if u dont do well! |

Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by brownsucre1: 9:35pm On Aug 16, 2017 |
hillaboi: Sorry d difference in d basic salary is not 5k,and dat is apart from all d allowance gt is entitled to. D allowance is d real deal in firstbank. For ur info u re not entitled to any allowance whatsoever as a contract staff,be it leave allowance, profit sharing, parking, not even xmas package. No contract staff earns up to 100k. firstbank might be paying d outsourcing firm over a hundred but u don't get up to dat. D highest paid contact staff there should be those in their call centre first contact. Unless this change came this week |

Hello guys, splendid morning to you all..... Guys, please the date of birth on my birth certificate and waec cert did not tally......my birth cert shows 13/3/1992(correct) and my waec shows 19/5/1992(wrong). I went to table my complaints at the waec office and they said I have to submit my original waec cert and birth cert through the principal of my secondary school. The young lady also said it will take up to 6months- 1year before I receive my rectified waec cert. I plan to swear an affidavit backing my birth cert. but someone told me that financial institutions don't accept affidavits........pls I need u guys more than ever now. Cloud9usher Brown sucre........HELPPPPPP!!!!!! |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by brownsucre1: 11:09am On Aug 18, 2017 |
bartho77: Bartho, though it's a serious error u need to correct as there is no correlation whatsoever in d dates, fbn is not concerned abt two months difference. But integrity means a lot to them cos it's their watchword. the year is still the same so get the affidavit to back it up. I just asked a friend of mine and he suggested u get an affidavit with d same details as u ve on ur waec. Which means u will not tender ur birth cert.u can claim it's lost as waec is what counts. But again, integrity is d watchword. Make a wise decision |
Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by mayoor15(m): 12:41pm On Aug 18, 2017 |
bartho77:It's best you correct it once and for all, submit it now for correction, WAEC will give you a back up letter to show they are correcting your certificate, that should be enough for most organisations, you will only keep procrastinating and you never know when it will come back to haunt you. |
