South Africa failed to qualify for Chan as they lost 4-2 on aggregate to Zambia.

I guess this means the South African league sucks right?

The south African league is modelled after the European league (u know how they like to copy oyinbo). They just started the new season yesterday and most clubs refused to release players for the CHAN qualifier since it's not in FIFA calendar.

When our league becomes profitable, clubs will not release their players for games like CHAN.

But that qualification pairing is not fair. The two heavy weights of that Sub-region.

So the rest like Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi and Madagascar get to play each other. Not fair.

TheGoodJoe that was Kayode.

I thought 'Girona always Leave black players on the bench'?

Who said Girona always leave black players on the bench? You are fond of misconceptions.

I highlighted my fear because of Chidebere Nwakali's incident and that was also during the takeover of the club.

Also at that time Chidebere had the challenge, he was the only black player in the whole club. Now they are in a tougher scenario being in the La Liga and off the top of my head, Douglas Luis is another black player in the club. It is not the same scenario.

The fitness of our CHAN Eagles is questionable cuz they lost steam too easily while Benin was afraid to play preferring to clutch their 1 goal lead and they are a very good side. So much work to be done by the Eagles handlers before the main tourney

Rohr should always go for experienced players. Football is for men and not boys. Our over reliance on youth and inexperienced players has cost us a lot in the recent past

I think it is the other way around. I think reliance on experience players cost us. Many will want o heap our loss to South Africa on inexperience but most of the culprits were the experienced once. Onazi, Echiejile, Akpeyi to me were bigger liabilities.

We should always go for the best in each role than looking for sentimental reasons to pick players.

What is really happening to Onyekuru's Anderlecht? They are seriously losing games at this early time of the season.

That is how football is.

Benin needed that singular away goal while Nigeria needed to protect their lead.

You should expect Benin to be more aggressive towards the end of the game.

I had no worries that a player in the calibre of Olanrewaju Kayode would not make a mark at Girona.

Did I say I did not say that? That is the fear I highlighted were a sentimental selection happened due to his skin color. I am scared that Kayode will get denied a fair run because Machin, the Girona coach might have a preference for white players.

Not that Kayode will not get a chance to play.

I do not want just a mark but a fair chance to have a brilliant performance at the club. If Kayode has the ability to be a regular and a top player at the club, I do not want Machin to deny him that opportunity. I hope you get my point now.

How old is the season that you are already making such conclusion.

In the national team you don't just throw players in at random.

You can imagine, Marlos Moreno, Douglas Luiz and Lanre Kayode, three brilliant black players from City on the bench.

I will take it that the season is just starting and they have not yet blended in. But, I am watching that coach with bad eye.

So why did you deny in the first instance?

And can you now have a rethink as to why Chidi was confined to the bench during his stay there?

Another misconception.

I said I did not say Kayode will not play because he I black. I highlighted my fear for him (mostly not getting a fair chance) because of the incident with Chidiebere Nwakali.

To make it simple;

I hope Machin gives Kayode a fair chance. I do not trust him because of the way he treated Chidi Nwakali.

Please look for another reason why Chidi Nwakali flopped at Girona.

Don't relate it to Kayode. They are not on the same level.
