The passport i used in my application is expiring in December although i submitted my application when the passport still had over 6months validity.I have a new passport now that i need to upload. I went to the web form section and its saying i should indicate the visa office handling my application, please how do i know the visa office handling my application? Please urgent answers. Thanks

I sent an updated passport at a time I didn't know the VO nor have a UCI. It's not a compulsory field.
After about three weeks they acknowledged my email and told me it's been forwarded to.the appropriate officer. The same day I got an ADR to upload my latest passport. I.just reattached what I uploaded previously and included an LOE that they should change my surname to the married name based on the passport details. By the next day. The officer have effected the name change. This was last week.

Still awaiting result though. So please go ahead with the CSE.

I think it's worth sharing this info on this new thread. I've had a lot of people ask about the stages -

Stages in Canadian PR journey

1st the profile
2nd is ITA
3rd is AOR
4th medicals
5th background
6th ppr
7th COPR
8th landing
9th pr card

These are 3 different stages that majority of the PR applicants in EE will see against Background check in My CIC.

IP1
--------
IP1 will be shown when we pass the medical. Some people get this update on the same day along with their medical and some of them couple of days after. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office)

NA
---------
This stage, our file will be transferred to CPC (Case processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.

IP2
--------
This status will be seen in my CIC account once Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF upfront. These things will be done at CPC office.

It is not necessary that every applicant will undergo this process. But majority of the cases, I have noticed the same status

No, you'll be required to provide the date of the ECA result as well as a reference number. You can come up with the reference number but definitely not the date of the result, so, the best thing is to wait for the result before you enter the pool.

you can actually do some chamber works before being called to the bar like legal research, legal opinions, interviewing clients, drafting etc

I am new and would like to know how to commence my application. In respect to academic conversion, I have ND(Auchi poly), ICAN-ATS, BSC (Uniben), ICAN-ACA & CISA, I would like to know what credentials I need to send for conversion. Secondly, I don't know what institution to use - WES or IQAS. I have read some thing about these bodies but I've not been able to agree on the best.

I was initially confused on whether to choose "Part 2" or "Part 3" for the thread.

What made me settle for "Part 2" was because the initial thread was majorly pre-Express Entry, so I figured that may be the reason zandora did not name it "Part 2" especially since EE was launched in January 2015.

But only afterwards (bar) do you become a lawyer? right? If that's the case, I don't think you can use those 5 months. You need the claimed number of years of experience in your primary NOC.

Do a police report, do a new passport and raise a CSE with a little LOE and attach all necessary docs.

the duties are substantially the same with the primary NOC except going to court and the reference letter titles it as a counsel

You should raise a CSE. Upload it ASAP

As your reference letter now carries a different role. It makes it a bit tricky.
Does it affect your eligibility or score if you take out these 5 months? I would wanna be careful using it.

Perhaps those who have experience in this regard can contribute. NOC misrepresentation has a high chance of knocking off your application.
