Please i need to know if this September is too early for a winter student to travel to Canada. Will there be an issue with immigration officers at the POE as per why the student is coming too early before resumption?

Please I need our response.

Be clear, Scholarship from which organization?

IMO, Scholarship(s) from reputable organizations like Canadian universities, MasterCard, IRDC, etc will always scale through if the applicant clearly indicate and emphasize 'Full scholarship' as fund source.

Also, applicant will need to submit account preferably above #500k with the scholarship but should not say it is part of fund for schooling.

What I see lately about rejected fully funded applicants is that they use another sponsor alongside their scholarship, thereby putting themselves through the fund scrutinization like non-funded scholars. I am still praying for a friend to scale through this.

It shall end with praises.

@Osemigho, Nice write up. Please, i will really like to speak with you on this issue, you seem to be a specialist in handling such matters. I'll PM you now.

Osemigho:

Fully funded students maybe denied on home tie but I think that will just be part of finance. So long you are single with no dependent, full scholarship I.e funding that equal to or more than your school fees+10,000 cad from Canadian university will zero any doubt of finance. Cic recognize the scholarship well for student visa and even Express entry.

Although I used family, landed property and family as home tie, I have seen fully funded students with no job or property but family get Visa.

History of this thread reveal that some past fully funded students present account as low as #300,000 sef but they emphasize full scholarship from their school in their visa app.
That's why I called out the last scholar that was rejected here to tell me how he filled the fund part of his CIC forms because I was convinced he did the mistake I noted earlier.

If it's about having tens or hundreds of millions in account, people like myself shouldn't dream of Canada. Full funding is made for indigent scholars like myself. Goodluck to any that has it and still struggling to find millionaire sponsor. You Better don't waste your time!

Just my ten kobo that I have to share. I'm not talking about the funding issue again. Thanks.

Boss, Please, does this mean that even if you have any other money, you should fill your Scholarship amount as the Available Funds on CIC Form?

Not in all cases but you must be ready to explain yourself why coming so early to do what till winter? only if you have a family over there.

But it's surely a very risky game, and when such person is asked to go back, na that time person go say na him people dey follow am from him village whereas the ball was in his court to avoid such embarrassment.

Think am well.

I want to upload my transcript for admission purpose, in what format should it be? Pdf or JPG.

I guess the Letter to Intent should be in PDF

Note: I have checked the website thoroughly to find the answer to the question I asked but I can't find it.

Hello boss,

What will you be doing there from September to January?

Mind you, you wont be able to work until school starts, so what really do you want to do there from September?

Just wait till Mid- November, then you can leave.

At least you don get the TRV, so nothing dey happen. Just relax...

can i also state that i have a cousin in canada? could that be detrimental?
thanks

IMO,

There is nothing in study visa app that need you to mention beyond your direct family. Bro, sis, parent, grandparent(s), kids, and spouse/common law partner.

Except your cousin is your sponsor, you don't have to mention the person.

@Osemigho, thanks fot your input on the funds issue... Just a kind of final clarification.

Kindly put me through on how to fill those forms... Let's say a guy got funding of 23k and his tuition is 12k. How would he fill the fund part?

Though i am still searching for a supervisor, i just want to be proactive. Thanks man.

I hope you are prepared to leave for Calgary, soon.
I wish you well boss.

My case.

I got a funding of 25788 funding and tuition is approximately 12500.

I wrote tuition as it is. Room and board - 10,000, others - 2300. Total fund available- 25788. Funded by - Full admission scholarship.

Mine took exactly 15 days . 13 days to reach vfs office Lagos nd anoda 2 days for their courier service.
Just be preparing , book flight ASAP but be mindful of the date .
Congrats once more
