My dear, your points look credible. What's difficult in compiling names when scores from interviews and tests are there for everyone to see? Imagine if someone had borrowed money for TP to PH on the grounds of repayment after the interview. The embarrassment could have been monumental.

Please, someone should let those @NDDC know that the scholarship is meant to help the poor and common folks realize their dreams. It shouldn't be an avenue to settle their political cronies. The rich have enough money to send their kids abroad for crying out loud.

However, Going by media reports, i think he attended a convention held by Akwa Ibomites in US over the weekend. just be hopeful that this week will be of great news to all expecting. on a lighter note pray for his safe and quick return

This current NDDC board led by Nsima Ekere the MD is d worse ever...scholars from 2014, 2015 and 2016 are facing hell with payments, for 12 months all PhDs in 2015 set has not seen upkeep and tuition, only few have seen payment from 2016 set, nobody is saying anything or picking calls from scholars or thier universities.This has never happened in d history of NDDC. SO BE READY TO WORK URSELVES OUT LIKE SLAVES N FACE HELL IN A FORIEGN LAND.

it sure isn't. We have not been paid the 500,000 naira till now. Am in Russia suffering. No tuition no upkeep, my dad managed to pay my fees but feeding has been hell, it's against dia rule to work as a student here in Russia. we were given 10000 naira on our interview day during my set in 2015 under Dan Abia the then MD. But I heard 2017 "interviewees" weren't. See one chance!!!

This is very true. Some of us had made several contacts including travelling to Nigeria to meet nddc official. Till now, nothing have been done on tuitions and upkeep. No one should be left to suffer like this

Another Friday evening has come, yet no word from NDDC... this is really sad. No communication, no tweet, its an insult to us awaiting scholars

First, I must commend the NDDC Management for their sustainance of this scheme. However, this silence & wait is bad. It seems like no one cares about the fate of scholars concerning their admission being lost & to think that NDDC instructed that they won't permit change of course/institution as well as deferring and now delaying the process speaks of double standards.
In as much as patience is a virtue, it shouldn't be exploited wrongly. Time is of the essence as regards VISA and traveling arrangements. For those of us who know the importance of this opportunity of early resumption would continue to hope that the list is published now.
If all NDDC Scholars can attain the highest academic excellence in their various fields then the management would be worthy of praises and satisfaction. I'm appealing to anyone who has the ears of the management or staff to please beg them to release the list and make things easier for prospective scholars so that the purpose of this scholarship scheme is not defeated.

How did things get to this point, eh jst how? After 2013, following the threads here on nairaland the complains about the shortcomings concerning the scheme has been on same issues.

I was hoping that with the "change" mantra, things would really change. Pls Let it change for the better

As we wait here in silence, it is cheerful to know that PTDF (A sister agency) has communicated to their prospective scholars and apologiezed for the delay through various social media platforms (twitter, nairaland) and have immediately swung into action.

Communication is key to understanding and good governance.
I hope the NDDC Staff will do same.(abi NDDC social media enquiries never reach?)

Dis country sef eh... nddc never pay 2014 & 2015 PhD.. as well as part of 2016..yet they done bring out 2017/2018...i advise u guys to b firm with dem b4 una leave dis country o... else oyimbo land no dey make sense without money... part time job can hardly pay for both feeding and houserent + if skool begin log u out coz of skool fees... ur moral go low 100%..i hav talked.

PTDF has contacted successful applicants for the LSS only those for OSS haven't known their fate. Test and interviews for both NDDC and PTDF were organized at almost the same period. While the former deems it fit to issue apologies via tweets, the latter just keeps mute - it's pathetic.

Flexisaf, the company that organized the test for PTDF created an account on nairaland to help calm applicants. They even left their helpline. But PTDF and its test organizers seem not to give a damn. What's their media department doing?
