Guys please there is a problem with my phone xiaomi redmi note 4 mtk 3/64gig. I just put the phone off some few minutes ago and discovered it wouldn't go off but keep restarting itself and it has been going on like this for the past 30 minutes. Please what can I do? I mean nothing happened it just all of a sudden started acting up. What is really the problem and what can be done to salvage the situation? Please help!
Try holding down power button for like 15 seconds to switch it off, if it persists, get ready for factory reset, and are you sure your rom is official?

Chai, Xiaomi sha, shuuuuuu, why ppl dey emphasise that split screen wen other more useful features dey for miui 9? I jus begin use the 'quick switch' feature today, and am already addicted grin. It works exactly as the 'return button' works on tvs. When you double tap your recent button, it switches to your previous app, very very swift way to multi-task shocked. Meanwhile, who need split screen? Maybe na Princetom1, e nr get use for me ooo wink

Not a Xiaomi nor miui feature

Yea, it's an Android N feature, but am talking of miui 9,i in Xiaomi its miui that matters and some devices running Marshmallow and below will also get that feature.

I didn't bro... I just switched it off in order to rest for the night and it started rebooting itself. It restarts to the MI logo and then keeps restarting over and over again. It's been over 2 hours and it's still the same issue. Please what can be done about it?

I have done this but still no head way and yes my rom is official. Global stable rom with MIUI 8.2.1.0. How do I proceed with a factory reset for a phone that doesn't boot to the desktop? Please help out Gptech, protein, GrandMufti etc. How do I resolve this issue?

My brother.... I just don't understand this kind of rubbish. The annoying part is that the phone didn't fall, didn't drop into water in fact not even a single physical issue, the issue just started from nowhere. It's really frustrating!

u can do that from recovery....power off, then hit volume + and power button....when u feel the device vibrate, release the power button , continue holding the volume plus, till a screen comes up..select the Chinese option by the right....
After selecting that. Everything changes to English, then select the recovery option, within the recovery, look for "format or reset" bla bla, I can't recall the words used 4 stock recovery, but when u get there u can share a screenshot of what u see,for more guide..
