its actually dependent on how much moisture u succeeded in removing. the lesser the better.
storage in plastic drums reduces oxidation of the oil and offers Gud storage than metal drums

To add to that, spend time and seek the face of God, draw a simple business plan on whether you re going in for storage or supplying and so on, read through this thread because info on this thread is more than enough to help you know quality oil. After reading through this thread, take a bold step and launch into the market. Start Little this year. Little here means don't buy more than 100 kegs for now. I actually started with about 5 jericans many many years ago. Even Some of the biggest guys on this thread actually started with one or two jerricans. Good morning sir, you won't believe most companies accept 1100 litres which is 44 kegs as a tonne now.

The reason for the change is what I don't know .

am aware of that. the issue is simple, literally speaking what we call a ton is 1000kg of oil. but you will need to convert it to volume, you can only do this by knowing the density of your oil. personally my oil is usually around a density of 0.975 or there about. so if u divide the weight in kg by the density, you know the amount in litres to supply.
the trick is this, most companies know we don't take cognisance of our density so they exploit us yakata. I once had that experience in Lagos, the man was shouting at my boys that what we brought isn't up to a ton. I told him to simply find out the density of our oil first and let's do the maths, he kept quiet for a while and then glanced through my specifications, went inside, came back and said its OK.
It's safe to always determine the density of your oil so you know exactly what litres to supply, in that way you don't cheat them and u too ain't fooled.

yeah once u are done with the productions, how do you market your products.!!! well every top client will ask you some or all of the following questions :
1: what's the source of your oil
2: what's the price per keg/ton/litre
3: what's the grade
4: what's the specifications
5: how often can you supply

I have a question on the marketing and transport especially. I have read reports of the challenges in transporting the oil from producing states to the North. What are these specifically and how can potential investors help to alleviate it?

In Malaysia Palm oil is transported in tankers or smaller trucks with capacity ranging from 10,000 -35,000 litres? How possible is this in Nigeria and what are the challenges involved?

I think its better to move in tankers and reduce the risk of transporting hundreds of yellow kegs daily on the roads with all the risks involved

what do you guys think?
