don't be clever by half just because of hatred, the current government's budget is planned with the knowledge of the scarce resources yet they ate failing woefully amidst other disgraceful performances except for lies, deceit, hypocrisy n propaganda.your likes always claims Johnathan government was corrupt but Nigeria n Nigerians fared far better then than now under your farce of a saint buhari's APC,but if you people believe that you can use force to shut everyone up n wipe everybody into your line then you really need to buckle up.
att least some of us that supported buhari are smart enough to admit he has failed. Even if you die on Enugu Onitsha road Jonathan will still be your hero. Smh

the difference between rational people like me and blind supporters like you is we know when to admit the person we voted has failed. Jonathan did well but he left the second maija bridge, Enugu Onitsha, east west road, umuhaia Ikot ekpene road, Lagos Ibadan expressway all unfixed in 6yrs even with the huge sum of money he spent. Even if you die on Enugu port Harcourt road Jonathan will still be your hero. Ibos are the real zombies

see, us yoruba are humanitarians. we know the whole igbo population is around 30 million. just because 10,000 of that 30 million are on this suicide mission of biafra does not mean yoruba will turn our back on the remaining 29 million who have sense. we know if we give you biafra then all 30 million of you will starve to death because of the myopic suicide mission of 10,000 pugnacious bellicose ipad yoofs. so we will not give you this biafra because we dont want you to take innocent igbos on a road of destruction with you. it is our duty as the oldest and the most established tribe in nigeria to have a paternal control over everybody and we the afonja will not allow you to take innocent igbos on a suicide mission of starvation . we simply will not
we all know and agree that Yoruba's are unity beggar, starvation is it the one u are currently experiencing right now under Lagos bridge come tell me more,
The Yoruba man has no sense of self determination. It takes a brave person/people to seek independence. Igbos have never been shy of this.
But a natural coward who is afraid to stand on their own will go and hide in the comfort zone of 'one Nigeria' so as not to expose the fact that they are afraid of independence and what it entails, like Yorubas have done.

To you hate speech is only there's threat of life. okay classify this statement "I hate you"

Mcowubaba:

Baba, let's not mix things up,
Firstly we are talking about hate speeches in reference to Nigerian constitution

Secondly, we are talking about hateful words, not threats, or violent declarations

Your 2nd example is a threat nd not just a hate speech

There is a difference between a hate speech and a threat
Threat is criminal, while hate speech is NOT always criminal INDICATING.

I can say "I strongly hate all indigènes of Edo state, the are useless people who don't deserve anything good in life"
This is a Hate speech in all standards, though some Edo people may not regard it as such, this is what I explained to Mynd44, in reference to subjective and objectiveness of statements.
The above statement is Not criminally indicting according to Nigeria constitution..

Now if I say "I will kill all indigènes of Edo state, once I get the opportunity"

Oga this is a threat not just a hate speech, and I should be arrested and questioned immediately by Security agencies.
According to Nigeria constitution..

Even though, some indigènes of Edo state may still regard this statement as a joke or just a troll.

All I'm saying is that there is no difference between abusive/insultive words and hate speeches

But there is a difference between a hate speech and a Threat
And most especially, human beings react differently to statements, as I have earlier explained.

Once you add an atom of violent/brutal words in your statements, it's no more just a hate speech or abusive statement, it's now a THREAT, know the difference.

Timaya is a bastard and I hate him so much, is different from I will go to Bayelsa and burn Timaya's house grin, because I hate him so much....
And as I said about statement generally being objective and subjective, Timaya himself may regard this 2 statements as a JOKE!!
I totally agree with you @Mcowubaba, I wasn't really clear with my earlier example. In my opinion, hate speeches could simply just be when a person openly expresses evil desires, or openly wishes evil on others. According to the social definition, hate speech mainly refers to openly wishing a group of people evil, or attacking them verbally based on their ethnicity, nationality, religion, race etc. E.g. "I hate Edo people, they dont deserve anything good in life."

Truth of the matter is that hate speeches are a part of our everyday lives and to a large extent, we are all guilty of some sort of hate speech, but at a harmless level. There are however some kind of hate speeches that are not just right because they could have far reaching effects on the psyche of people and could lead to violence. Example is the type we've seen lately in Nigeria - Arewa youths & Ipob.

Anyone who considers GEJ like Buhari is an idiot and a fool. You are not listening, you are still viewing this from a tribalistic prism....you hate my own, so I hate yours too. We didn't hate Obasanjo, we didn't hate Yaradua , and many more before him because they governed without tribal and religious bigotry. But Buhari has governed as a tribalist, religious fanatic and crass abuser of power. Most importantly he has destroyed this country...everything upside, the country is divided than ever before.

I get you. So will I be right to say you hate Buhari?

Abusive words are Criminal.

There are three offences that someone who uses "threatening, abusive or insulting" language in a public place may been deemed to have committed.

Using insulting/abusive words against a person isn't a crime, not to my knowledge; it may be morally wrong and inappropriate, but being a crime?.. Naaa.... Using threatening words however is a crime/offence.

Just because this current administration is failing in the midst of dwindling resources doesnt make the man that failed in the midst of plenty better. If Jonathan was still in charge things would have been much worse but then some groups of morons with selective amnesia are making this fool appear like a hero.

Jonathan we are not all dumb. We've not forgotten how you dated newspaper depots just because the news didnt favour you. We've not forgotten how a sitting governor in rivers state was placed on house arrest when your visiting wife blocked even the road leading to the government house. We've not forgotten how your wife made rivers state hell for the sitting Governor. We've not forgotten how you froze the account of Adamawa state after the Governor decamped to APC and you went after him with EFCC.

We've not forgotten how a sitting speaker was locked out of the NASS just because he decamped to the opposition party. We remember how he had to jump the gate against while daring the NPF under Jonathan to shoot him

Yes Buhari is failing in the midst of scarce resources but he doesn't even have half of what you had in resources.

To the fools trying trying so hard to make us feel we made the wrong choice in 2015 you've failed already

Really absurd ...is like you are chained...

Total freedom including freedom to loot. There are limitations to human rights. A responsible leader must maintain order.

I still remember the time you deployed soldiers to Bola Hamed Tinubu residence and threatened Lagos state government and citizens with militants and thugs. Some Lagos state properties were damaged during the militants show of force, dangerous weapons were publicly displayed by the thugs.

Some APC states monthly allocation were also withheld by Jonathan govt.

Bro e go beta for you and your family plenty plenty. You're a true Nigerian with understanding. The effect of the failed government of Jonathan is what we are suffering now but blind people will never see that. How do people even think? Don't they know there's something called cause and effect? Jonathan and his government failed us. And we are suffering it now.

We admit the situation of the current government is not in the best position it can be, but it's better than having wolves in sheep clothing that'll keep recking our future and leave not for us anymore.

I repeat Jonathan's government failed us. They ate the cake and the crumbs fell to the masses and we were Jubilating. (I spit to the ground). Let the ignorant keep talking out of ignorance. Blind Nigerians branding their ignorance and praising the creator of their doom. JONATHAN you failed us!

you keep making the same stupid mistake; assuming I support buhari blindly. A sensible person will admit both Jonathan and buhari failed. The fact that Jonathan failed is the reason we trusted buhari in 2015. There's no neednto sugarcoat jona's failure for us. We want someone else in 2019. That's the summary of my submission.

You Jonathan sycophants need to shut up and stop telling us we should have voted Jonathan. He is a bigger failure
