Yeah. But what is recognised in Delta's constitution is Ika while Igbo is used to represent the Anioshimili people.

the same way okpe is a tribe, huh?
Ants cant determine the boundary of elephants,

You are so pained. This is a constitutional issue. Okpe is not recognised as a separate ethnic group from Urhobo but Ukwuani and Ika are recognised as distinct ethnicities.

If the people say they are Igbo, that is their business. This is not my opinion (as far as I am concerned all of them are Igbo) but the CONSTITUTION gives them distinct identities as much as Isoko is given a distinct one from Urhobo.

Of course it is. After all, Ibori is the ruler of the Okowa's political family. Urhobos still control the legislature and judiciary. Even in the so called Okowa's government, Urhobos hold all the key positions, from SSG, through finance commissioner, down to permanent secretaries and personal assistants.

Okowa is only governor because Urhobos, Ijaws, Itsekiris WANT it in order to fulfill all righteousness and give Aniomas a sense of belonging. So don't act like Okowa's election was won with population or charisma or anything free and fair. He is there because Ibori and the core Deltan ruling class WANT HIM THERE. Deal with it.

the pained one here is you.
I can bet with my life that the whole of delta north can never vote No incase of a biafran referendum, deep inside you,you know that.
Anioma remains connected to their kith and kin east of the niger.

And why would I care if Anioma joins Biafra or get their own state? It's even better for us the core Deltans who have been robbed off many things.

So I wonder why you are killing yourself. Take everyone in Delta North down to Obiaruku if you want and if they want too but limit your boundaries to your Igboid region.

The core deltans?
What a terminology,
so the aniomas are not core deltans?
And what have you achieved with your coreness in nigeria?
Aniomas are holding a ministerial and cbn position in nigeria, tell me the last time we had an urhobo minister in nigeria? Mr coreness with only one senator and found in just one state,
go and get resource control with your coreness

madam why not stick with your igbo politics and leave Delta out of ur argument, you just one spoil show for anioma.

as for the okpe claim, urhobo don't do attache by force, isoko speaks a version of urhobo language, bear our names, have same traditions with us but you won't see urhobo killing themselves because isoko said they ain't urhobo, I think you need to learn a lot from the great urhobo nation.

Okpe still remain part and parcel of urhobo, if they wish to deny their urhoboness then no urhobo son or daughter will bully them like you bully others.

Stephen Oru was a minister till 2015. Google doesn't bite.

Emefiele was appointed by GEJ, also an Ijaw man from the core Delta.

And by core Delta, I mean those in the geographical Niger Delta, not political Niger Delta.

The Minister for Petroleum was employed STRICTLY ON MERIT, not because he is from Delta State. In fact, Deltans had no role to play in nominating Kachikwu.

Like Urhobo, Anioma has only one Senator too. Aniomas seem to be at an advantage now because Urhobos are not like you guys that never allow other ethnicities to shine (eg Rivers State).

And yes, we'd get our resource control, our own state and restructuring of Nigeria. If you don't like, leave us be and go tow your Biafran path.

Has anyone on this thread disputed the fact that Aniomas are Igbo?

Please do show us where so that we'd know where your menopausal rants are coming from.

That they are recognised as distinct doesn't imply that they are or they are not Igbos. Just acknowledge their constitutional distinctiveness.

I have no problem with who anioma says they are, in fact I have corrected most people in this forum who claim anioma are not related to igbo, Sanchez can attest to that.

Me wey dey even call them Delta Igbo. I have many Anioma friends from DELSU then and even now, my GF is Anioma. Even when they insist that they are not Igbo, I educate them of their real status even though they constitutionally have the right to remain distinct from Igbo.

I was only trying to prove a point to the online oversabis, a point they have failed to even get due to their knack for wahalarism.

We can never be mates. See arrogance. When an ethnicity ascribes too much arrogance to itself, it becomes a laughing stock.

You are deflecting the subject matter. Anybody can open an assembly plant given the right resources but that is not even the issue.

You wanted to measure d*cks with Urhobo and we gave you the opportunity to match what we have achieved as core Deltans with what you have (since you said we haven't achieved anything). Instead of focusing on the said achievements, you went to bring in an assembly plant.

As a Biafran supporter from the nextdoor state of Anambra, I have an interest in Delta state due to the Igbo elements indigenous to the state.

In terms of Urhobos, Itsekiris, Ijaws,Isoko and other tribes who are indigenous to Delta state, I think that every tribe had better start making long term plans because this so called Delta state will one day cease to exist.

It doesnt matter which happens first, restructuring or secession, Delta state will be gone in the future.

In the case of restructuring, Anioma is leaving with its Igbo kith and kin into the Igbo Region

In the case of secession, I have no doubt that Anioma will vote massively in a referendum to leave with Biafra

So some people can make noise all they want but all the tribes in Delta state had better start preparing for the future because the Igbo nation will be taking Anioma with them one way or the other.
