We all know that men will always take the blame in a case of domestic violence. But all I'm trying to say is that women too need to be careful too

You're only being biased because you probably haven't seen when some women publicly disgrace their husband. You have no idea of how nauseating some women can be. But then, it does not justify why a man should beat his wife

What you consider bliss is totally different from others.

Did their marriages endure? Yes by far

What about this generation that is looking for bliss? Divorce and beating daily. Children from broken homes becoming wayward. Baby daddy and baby mama everywhere. Lost family values...

In marriage you can't have it all. No man or woman is a perfect mate so if you are looking for perfect bliss you better stay single.

Longevity of the marriage depends on ability of both parties to adjust and keep learning and that is what our grand parents understood better than this generation.

Rigidity of opinion and constantly wanting to have ones way is what leads to irreconcilable differences that ends in divorce or domestic violence.

So back to my original submission.
Wives respect and honour your husbands. Husbands love and be patient with your wives. And in between both should leave a margin for error and adjust accordingly.

I have seen women disgrace their husbands publicly. I have also seen men publicly disgrace their wives more often than the reverse. Have you also seen men disgrace their wives? I guess NO. None justifies violence _that's the point.

Bring the women of the old to this generation, empower them _and a very tiny percentage of them would be willing to endure.

If you look at it through the prism of financial contribution you are bound to get it wrong.

No matter who contributes or has more money, the basic principles of love, patience (man) and respect, submission (woman) will always win the day if husband and wife see themselves as one.

I know female politicians who are richer and far more influential than their husbands but they still play their role as wife. I equally know men who are richer and more influential than their wives and that shouldn't oveebloat their ego to think they can misbehave.

Money is dicey. Go for the basic principles and life is simple.
