No, you can't legally work with a tourist visa. Under the table, where you'll get paid cash, that's possible. However, you certainly risk getting caught, deported, and being banned for life from entering the US. You can probably change your status, say if you get married to a US citizen during your visit.

Noo,you can't renew your b1/b2 visa while still in the United state,visa issues are handle by the foreign posts..(embassy)..which means you have to go back to your issuing country for renewal but you can change your status to F1 if you wanna begin studies but that also would have to be done before you go out of legal status (max..6month for tourist visas).

NYC....so I was thinking if push come to shove......I can humble myself to do a little anybody-can-do-it job like frying eggs and bacon and potatoes...preparing breakfast. But when I found I couldn't remember a single order....and these customers don't repeat.... they say what they want...and how it must be done...just one time.... and you have to make it right... and fast! ..and you be preparing more than one order at the same time!.....I already knew...even if they offered me the job...I'll have to refuse! Mexicans and grills are like ehmmm....3 and 4 5 and 6!

Hahaha....nothing do you..am only being careful with my words.we are all brothers aiming for higher levels...I just made that comment in response to your earlier comment about changing status..no ill feelings..but it's ok..just do whatever it takes to live good.all the best.

Akatas... NYC...construction.... in this small small lot they are building a school.Manhattan is basically rock.... solid rock.... the buildings in the background are on another level like 15m above. Guess they blasted out the side of the hill to form the lots on the lower level.

NYC.....oil barrels?...used to be!...now musical instruments!....looking at a "Steel Pan Orchestra" in a "Pan Yard" (a place where the orchestra practices. ..school yard in this case!) Here they practice at nights... preparing for the big Steel Pan Competition this weekend...part of the Labour Day "West Indian Day Parade" (Carnival)...by farrrr. ..the biggest parade in North America.

Albany is about 2-3 hours i think. Syracuse about the same or an hour more. Rochester is 6 hours away, Buffalo about 7 hours, the Canadian border is about 45 minutes to 1 hour away from buffalo. NY state is huge.

Presently... a one bedroom apartment in this area $2500.... per month....not a typo... $2500 per month!
