@ texazz, huawei has been ok, its them Zte that has been problematic, have actually had to be using pen and paper to try calculate the damn thing, dont ask if i suceeded.

The application requires .NET framework, it's already pre-installed in Vista and Windows 7 so on those OS versions you should have no issues. Even on XP, i'm surprised you don't have it installed, i thought a fairly recent version comes by default with XP SP3,

You can either download and install the .net framework from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=17153 or use Vista or Win 7.

@texazpete: the app runs very well on my windows 7. Used it last night to unlock my zain edge modem in a split second. Been rocking it since on mtn, for a start. Will try the flashing thing after i get d generic software from huawei. Thanks once again

@ shiloh n evry 1 hw do u flash them thingys? I ask cuz all i find is that the so-called firmware just changes the dashboard 2 mobile partner! And doesnt even ask 4 any code. So how do u do that? Iv messed abt wit mine so much its starting 2 misbehave! Wont connect, slower etc. Guess it needs a flash.

N95's screenshot shows he's using a relatively new install of win XP. You can deduce that from the minimal number of 3rd party programs he has installed
Not surprised 4llerbuntu has a windows machine, it's usually practical for many of these linux fiends to keep a Windows install handy. i'm only surprised he's running Win XP on his instead of Win 7.

Besides, we both know i'm nowhere on your level, Oil & Gas has removed me far from the IT world, now i'm no longer a creator, i'm a consumer (albeit a very well informed one )

You are better than this texazzpete, Its simply clear you self dont know the problem my net frame is ver 1.1 and I veed version 2 and above to run the application its that simple.

Did you read my post a few steps up where i recommended you install .NET framework?
I'd say i understood your problem well enough and provided a decent answer.

I hardly ever use windows and there are stuff only windows based, why would .net framework be my priority unless i actually need it? Besides i always had a how to 4 huawei dt didnt need .net so what? Funny enuf sef i hav the 2.0 in a xp cd(mod one) just never bothered.
