There is nothing again after this o! The Shema is the beginning and end of Judaism. Even Jesus agreed that it is the most important law in Judaism.

It is deutwronomy 6:4

It is the corner stone of Judaism.

Compare it to Mark 12:29

Shema means 'Hear'

Yisrael means 'Israel'

The Shema as Jewish people call it is so called because the first word is 'shema'.

Hear o Israel the lord thy god is one.

If a jew doesn't know anything about his religion he will at least know that one.
