Please someone should help us with a list of do not for newly preggies especially first trimester.

Mum said I should avoid the following;
Uda, utazi, abacha with akanwu or any akanwu food. Also, uziza ( I will surely miss uziza cos I put it in nearly all my soups).

Your mom is right. Fruits like Pineapple and unripe pawpaw should be avoided. Dates, Zobo too!

She said I should avoid trekking and byking. I wonder how I can avoid these 2 cos I don't drive.

Your mom said no biking maybe due to pot-holes. Trekking is used as a means to dialate the cervix when you are close to the expected date of delivery and also free your pelvic and thigh.


She said I should always sit while washing. ( I have a washing machine and my hubby practically wash all my cloths so I jump and pass this one)

@ my sabi mamas, na for the sex issue I fit get issue. Since I became preggie Hubby's libido is on another level. He now wants to do 3 times daily, though he is gentle. He says it is happiness DT causes it.

Your hubby is funny! Na really na happiness cause am Did your gynaecologist advise you to stay off sex? Do you experience pain the 3times he does it or afterward? Do you experience spotting/bleeding after sex? If No, continue doing the do just tell hubby to keep being gentle. But if you are tired, tell him! Am sure he will understand that you cannot be doing it everyday. If you are in your second trimester, avoid laying on your back during sex.

I am a tea lover; green tea, yellow label, peppermint tea, should it be avoided too?
I have been having fever, sometimes, internal fever. It goes down when I take paracetamol. What else do I do?

Some persons use yellow label as a means of contraceptives. Green tea purges me, I don't know if it's right to take during pregnancy. No idea about the peppermint tea.

Also, how do you handle bloating, sometimes I feel my tummy is bloated.

The bloating feeling is normal for some persons but some food also make you to have gas maybe you should eat those foods with caution.

If you mean scent leaf soup then you should add banga to it and don't eat it hot.
Avoid UDA in peppersoup. Happy bumping!

Ucan check this link for more details on d pepper soup "uda" tingy, the water is actually used ASA means of contraception in some places. Most times its blended together with the pepper soup sices sold in d market, for now just keep off till after delivery. Also avoid "pottash" "akaun" popularly used in abacha and isiewu preparation.

It is also called vasoprin. It is actually a drug for the heart but can be used for aiding implantation by thickening the lining of the uterus. You can also get it from the hard core of pineapples. Pictures attached below
