Even if they beat us in Uyo and we end up on same points, we will still qualify as long as we didn't lose by 2 goals margin to them here.

For goals difference, we are better off
chimzyblack:
even If that is the case, we still qualify, we just have to avoid defeat in Uyo, and I believe we will beat them silly.
All I KNOW IS THAT NFF SHOULD JUST START PREPARING FRIENDLIES FOR THE TEAM BEACUSE WE ARE ALREADY IN RUSSIA.

You wanted CAF to fix the seeding to favor just west Africans?

Why did Dr Congo dispatch Tunisia? (The same Tunisia once stopped Nigeria from smelling the world cup in our own capital city.

Tunisia never stopped us from qualifying for that 2010 WC. Though both legs ended in draws, 0-0 and 2-2, we still qualified. Mozambique did us a favor in Maputo while we beat Kenya in Nairobi.

Except you are making reference to the 1978 WC qualifiers when we lost 0-1 in Lagos and lost again 3-1 in Tunis.

You want CAF to fix the draw just to support "known names"?

Even in Europe, some known names are struggling self, same with South America.

The ref that officiated in the match between Argentina vs Venezuela must have been told to do everything against Argentina from winning that match. I watched it and the open ref errors were glaring!

Ghana and Egypt should not have been in same group

There's Adebimpe Qadri too.
Danycrusoe:
let's give it to the only Nigerian Referee that has been involved in International matches in recent times, Anietie Ferdinand udoh, he was the referee in the South Africa vs Cape Verde game that just ended. his AR1 is also Nigerian but can't recall his name. sincerely I v not really heard of any other Nigerian referee on the African scene, he was involved in some Caf champions league and Caf confederation cup matches last season. I hope we produce more of him.

Jobie,do we need any soothsayer to tell us Aaron cannot do it or even it w be suicide to start Nwakaeme(hope u remeber Peter Ijeh)in that team at d expense of Ighalo and Iheanacho.

This is football and national team should not be for mediocres. It should be for players who merit it and are ready to give it all.I think it's high time Rohr centred his attacking options on pool of players like Ighalo,Iheanacho,Kayode,Ideye,Oyekwuru.

Ighalo had it so good at EPL before moving to China,Nacho highly rated player in EPL with very good goal ratio even in d national team,Kayode had a wonderful season in Austria last season, signed by man city but loaned to Girona in la liga,Ideye a good player behind any striker(remind me of siasia)now in la liga,Oyekwuru doing it for Anderlecht, for God sake what do we need again and any player that w break in to this team must be exceptional striker

Prior to US 94,we already have our strikers(Yekinni,Amokachie, Siasia,Ekoku)so this campaign should not be an exceptional, not only attackers but in other department of d game.

Martins Obafemi is also doing well.

We only need a draw and we are in Russia.

We have H2H and goal difference to our advantage.
Sainty92:
Nah...If tins stays dis way, zambia wil be on 7points, a draw in uyo wil take dem to 8points which can turn to 11points if dey beat cameroun at home in their last match. Lemmi nt say am feeling jittery already

I think it's a bit late to be adding players to this team. Give or take a few people, I believe we have 85% a team to take to Russia.

Our defense seems sorted, I know lots of people have complained of Echiejile, but I think he's Russia-bound anyway, last last, he'll be used as a sub in his position cuz we don't have a lot of options in that position that can be slotted into the team in less than a year and the coach won't be trying out new players in the next game.

The midfield is 70% sorted, we have our starters there, the bench will most likely be shuffled, but I tip John Ogu and Etebo to survive any such shufflings, the rest are hanging on a thin thread

Our attack seems the one area that could have lots of additions before anything is sold. For now, only V Moses and Kelechi are really sure barring injuries, on the back of his last performance, you could say Ighalo

Then of course, there's our GK department where no one is really sure of going to Russia.

At least thirteen of the twenty-three players going to Russia were invited for the games against Cameroon, so, only about 8 spaces are undecided.

So, here is my list of fifteen sure guys to Russia barring injuries starting from the most important

Victor Moses
Mikel Obi
Leon Balogun
Troost-Ekong
Wilfred Ndidi
Ogenyi Onazi
Kelechi Iheanacho
Alex Iwobi
Shehu Abdullahi
John Ogu
Ola Aina (if e no f up)
Elderson Echiejile
Oghenekaro Etebo
Moses Simon
Chidozie Awaziem

Ighalo may go, but Ighalo too dey do like NEPA

No goalies are sure....only sure thing is Carl Ikeme will unfortunately not make it

yea, you are right and it happens to any other players,

reason he hadn't make it in national colour until recent was, he wasn't played according to his strength,
even with that injury you can see he still give his best, and it was his move that draws the defence out befor Simon score,

y you might ask, simple THAT WAS HIS STRENGTH

who be Nura and Moses? Shehu has been solid, so, his role is not in contention. We are not looking for his replscemenr

Anybody that has not been invited now for that position will not be invited again. Nura and Moses should forget about Russia.

Tyrone and Aina are the only other RBs we have and Tyrone will go to Russia as a sub most likely while Ola will drag Echiejile's position. Shehu is going to Russia

Who put who in the group, was it not a draw that was done? Infact why is this even an issue for discussion?

Maybe CAF shouldn't organise qualifiers again, they should just pick 5 known west Africans names and that's all.

Dear Super Eagles,
Please help us beat these Zambians by 3-0 so that these their loud mouth fans calling us Super chickens with disrespect will learn to respect their seniors. They think they are the only team that can do a double over a team please teach them small football lessons.

Guys you need to see how boastful these Zambians are about beating us in Uyo like we'll be looking at them like that. I think should should watch the last U20 videos these Zambians played, with their cosafa and the Algeria double header and Marshall a killer tactics that will bury their loud mouth after the match October 7th.

Why does the coach keep saying Ezenwa is a fourth choice keeper, isn't Ezenwa better than Akpeyi from what we've seen so far?
