Virgil van Dyjk would have made a difference for Liverpool today. The first 3 goals were scored down the middle. A top centre half won't allow that happen.

I wasn't even considering them as title contenders. Liverpool have always been bottlers. If Klopp doesn't work on his defense they might not even qualify for UCL.

I don't think much should be read into the second half performance. These are 2 evenly matched sides when one gets a red card, it gives the other a serious advantage.

A plan implies a pre-concieved strategy.

If I slap your face, and you slap me back immediately - that's a reaction.

If I slap your face, and you turn up at my house later at night with a .44, that's a plan.

Klopp's formation change was just an instinctive reaction to going a man down. You could tell the formation was strange to the players because they neithet knew how to attack or defend.

If you compare that switch to the Chelsea tactical change vs Burnley, you will see exactly what I mean. Conte came with a Plan. Klopp didn't and just tried to improvise on the fly.
