Nice post. Please, ignore the 'rich fellow' who referred to your country as "poor". I'd love to visit Ethiopia this year considering Ethiopian Airlines is my preferred airline of choice for flying from China to Nigeria. I've transited at Bole International Airport on numerous occasions. So, yes, I'm itching to explore your beautiful and historically rich country.
Re-welcome to Ethiopia! smiley

There are also other non-UNESCO sites which are simply beautiful and amazing. Some of them are:-
1. Bale Mountains National Park in Oromo region
2. Dirre Sheik Hussein Religious, Cultural and Historical Site
3. Holqa Sof Omar - largest cave in Africa
4. Gedeo Mixed Cultural and Natural Landscape
5. Melka Kunture and Bachilt Archaeological Site
6. Danakil Depression in Afar region - hottest place on Earth.

I will post little details and pictures for Bale Mountains National Park, Sof Omer cave and Danakil Depression respectively.

1. Bale Mountains National Park

This park is home to many animals, birds and plants. It has been rated as the 4th birding sit in Africa. There are also endemic and endangered animals like - Ethiopian wolf, Mountain Nyala, Bale monkey, Giant mole rat, Painted hunting dog.
Are those animals the painted hunting dog?

3. Danakil Depression

If you are truly a top class adventurer, there is no better place on Earth to tour than Danaki depression. It's the hottest place on Earth. It's also the second lowest place on Earth. This depression is home to one of the few remaining active volcano on Earth, named Erta Ale.

The last picture is Erta Ale volcano.
OMG Is this
The volcano you meant? shocked.
This looks insane.

I had the opportunity of visiting addis ababa in 2012 and it was a pleasant experience. I stayed at hotel panorama. although the kind of cold I experienced was something else!! extremely cold in November. not near abuja in development but nonetheless enjoyable. nice people too and nice coffee grin

No, they are called Semein red fox. They are found in the Semein and Bale mountains park. They are endemic/found only in Ethiopia.

Yeah!
During some period of Ethiopia history, they used Amola salt as a money and this place was the wealthiest in Ethiopia in that time for this.

very pretty looking fox. It should be made the National animal. I also know about the now extinct Ethiopian lion last seen in the 1930s or thereabouts. where is the picture of Ethiopian wolf?

By visiting Ethiopia, you not only going to have an amazing experience, but you also going to help the economy. The price is lower than most African countries.

Ethiopia is not like what you see on TV or internet. Most say, there is worse famine, drought, racism. But it's not like it's exaggerated. Most people who came here with that mentality, had fallen in love with Ethiopia, when they left the country.

I don't believe in God, but their is a reason why the Bible say that "The Garden of Eden" is found in Ethiopia.

I would also like if others show their country beauty in detail. smiley

How cheap z going on a visit to Ethiopia!?

Most of the foods(both Habesha and foreign) and drinks are collectively below 10$. For example, one special burger and Coka is 8$. One normal room rent is between 15-20$ per day. Using public taxes cost below 0.50$. Traveling by car from Addis to other parts of country cost you between 15-30$. If you come to Ethiopia by Ethio airline, you will have a 50% reduction on the cost of flights inside the country. Only visiting Danakil depression cost high(500$).

It's in Lagos
Ethiopia Visa is quick to get; especially Tourist Visa.
I don't know that much about the criteria for temporary or permanent resident here.

If you are in Nigeria, then go to our embassy in Lagos. Try Tourist Visa since it's going to be your 1st. I don't know about the Visa fees.

About the hooking up, I don't know that much, but we've a huge problem of prostitution; especially here in Addis Ababa (about 80,000-100,000 if I'm not wrong).
