The letters of the CIC policy is subject to the VO interpretation. How do you also explain a 3 year PGWP when one only did 1 year masters. People i know have had this too. This clearly negates the CIC policy yet a VO issued a 3 year PGWP. CIC will not issue policy for different scenarios or cases. Every case is considered in its own merit guided by the policy. Like I said, the person is already working and extended his permit to the 3 year cap. The policy does not describe this scenario. I am not here to convince anyone, I only stated what I know and it's cases specific thesoj: 2 Likes |

damLaney:1) Print out the form you want to submit, sign on it and scan it back (very costly method I must tell you). 2) I read somewhere on this thread that admission letter shouldn't be conditional. Or on the alternative, you should be able to show that you can meet the condition. But if you can clear it once, the safer. You won't be there in front of VO to answer questions. 3) Pass! 4) I got mine 1 hour after online submission on Friday. Would have gone for biometrics today but serious rain no gree. #Myopinion |

jnyuwa02: Wow....thanks for the reply, i noticed many people here were rejected TRV for mismatch of course of study like you said......but would it be better if i apply for a Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice....would it be preferrable...urgent reply i would still urge you to do an LLM. M.A in criminal Justice is tailored to employees of the criminal Justice system that is, prosecutors, criminal defendants, people that work in the correctional facilities like prisons and maybe like us EFCC etc, if you do an LLm it touches all aspects of law and you have less explaining to do. Also check University of windsor thier LLM has quite an interesting package. |

dayusin:I honestly don't. I asked if it is an online application because a moniker here had same dashboard update and days later, he was requested to submit his original passport. He applied online. I can't say of your case. You will have to wait till you get a response as to what the final decision is. Also track the status of your application using the VFS website. Hopefully, it is an approval. Regards bro. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Nobody: 5:09pm On Sep 11, 2017 |
Hi guys. Hope everyone is doing well. I have some questions I need answers to. I was delayed recently for just insufficient funds. I want to apply again for January and pay a year tuition fee this time. My mom has the money available but she wants to use some funds she kept with my uncle who stays in Abu Dhabi. I have also opened a dorm account to put funds for my living expenses. My question is will the V.O want to see proof of where the money I used to pay tuition and transfer living expenses is coming from because it won't reflect on my mom's statement of account. Please I need your help. Thank you |

maplemum2017: I really would love to have done an LLM program....but i do not meet the criteria of 3.5(70%) CGPA......as i have a CGPA of 3.1....but still should i just go for a Post graduate diploma/cert in Alternative Dispute Resolution? and thereafter may lead to my push for an LLM programme? what do u say? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 5:29pm On Sep 11, 2017 |
Alantobie: Arebo:@Arebo and @Alantobie, i believe your questions are in the same path so i'll go ahead and give an answer. The main thing CIC look out for is the accessibility of funds available to you the applicant. The easier it is, the better. However, your sponsors must make their claims and commitment convincing enough without any suspicion. If they are working or own a business, include all relevant documents to show how they generate these said funds. if it was a cash gift or anything of sort from another source or person, make sure it is explained and if you have proofs, include them. Funding will go past the first year if your programs are beyond a year. They also want to be sure it is sustainable even if you have the required funds for the first year. Funds for you the applicant can be a ONE TIME proof (Scholarships, funding, loans etc) and like i mentioned, if somebody else is providing funding, all funds made available to you should be explained and the sources proven. This is what makes your source of fund genuine and reliable. 5 Likes |
