Do you mean to say 2018 fall? If so, ask your school to consider you for reactivation of your application. I am in a similar senerio, my school cancelled my application, and reactivated it a few days after, this way, I dint need to pay a new application fee, send in my transcripts and support documents. I also dint loose my tuition credits from an award I won previously. All I'm hoping for now is that my school reviews my application and grants me admission sonnest, while I await cic's response. Cheers

This is interesting...... Is the above possible? I have this kind of scenario but won't know if it will affect my funding assistance or not.....

The journey has not been easy, I have passed through tribulations and temptation,

On graduation from my university, I didn't make a first class or a high second class upper, I was discouraged because I had planned to do my masters degree in Canada, nd I knew that my result wasn't very good but yet, I persisted with my ambition, I applied to 2 universities on my own, I was denied admission, I came to this thread, seeking for answers and help, I sent many Pms, few responded, many didn't (though I hold nothing against them)

I followed up with the few that responded, I was able to establish a good relationship with one of them, I was not only guided properly by him, he assisted me in making the application nd FEES. I got admitted

I was mad in celebration, I came to this thread (part 12) to celebrate, he has previously warned me never to make reference to our dealing here on Nairaland, but I couldn't hold my joy, he saw his name on my post, though he wasn't happy, but he offered to pay for my Visa application for my acknowledgment.

(One thing to note is that, I never asked him to make any payments for me, he offered by himself, I had the money to make those payments, but he didn't even care about that)

Once again he guided me through out the application process FREE OF CHARGE, now as I type this, MY TRV IS SUCESSFUL

I always hear about good people, but I have not really had a close/personal relationship with one to this extent, we are not from the same tribe, Infact our Tribes are the major contestants in the tribal wars that goes on here, but that didn't deter him.

I'm firstly grateful to the Almighty God for making my Visa a success, then to you boss, you know yourself, only God can reward you, I'm in tears now, nd I love you for life (no homo), you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, a total stranger doing so much for me nd helping me in achieving my life ambition.
I gat your back for life.

My TRV is successful, nd as a way of giving back to this thread, at the right time, probably when I arrive nd settle down properly in Canny, I will pay for the application fee nd "if possible" the visa fee for someone else here.

I will be back to do this selection, no need for anyone to start sending me Pms Now.

To all I may have had issues with I'm sincerely sorry for the disagreements nd bad words

God bless you Nairalanders
God bless Nigeria
Never give up hope.
Keep trying

Hello house, mine vfs tracking number is with calastu instead of Ghanstu. Does it mean my study permit app is being handled at Canada Lagos office? I have always thought all study permit apps are treated in Ghana.

Please , is there any similar case in the house?
I believe your application is an online route. CALASTU(Lagos) and CAAB(Abuja) tracking numbers are given when biometrics are collected for online applicants.
This means that your 'Biometric completed' will be updated in either of the offices depending on where you submitted the letter and also where your TRV will be issued once your study permit is approved in any visa office around the world that processed it including Accra visa office.

No cause for worry. This is very normal since y'all applied online. The tracking number was given when you completed biometrics and not when submitting your application. So you won't be able to track your biometrics movement. It has already been updated on your account which should put your mind at rest.

You have no further business with VFS tracking, all you need to know about your application is visible on your account profile.

Yeah, thanks. Ur explanation make sense a lot. I applied online and my biometric status was completed immediately I submitted at vfs Lagos. I am tracking on CIC page agreeing with you that I have no business with vfs.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by thesoj: 3:40pm On Sep 12, 2017
It's not fair to advise people that they can generally extend their PGWP based on hearsay that you probably aren't sure about. Basically you are suggesting that people can put together a PGWP extension application when their PGWP is about to expire (and if they've truly run out of eligible PGWP time); outside of this scenario, what would be the premise of this application?

About PWGP length: As far as we know, CIC mostly sticks to their policies on PGWP length, anything outside of that is an exception and shouldn't be considered a norm.

Immigrants in Canada shouldn't base their plans on unrealistic hope. Plans should be based on what's most likely to happen. It is because of unrealistically optimistic hope that some immigrant students run out of PGWP and have to leave Canada.

Hope (while mentally soothing) is not a strategy.
marcuskens:
The letters of the CIC policy is subject to the VO interpretation. How do you also explain a 3 year PGWP when one only did 1 year masters. People i know have had this too. This clearly negates the CIC policy yet a VO issued a 3 year PGWP. CIC will not issue policy for different scenarios or cases. Every case is considered in its own merit guided by the policy. Like I said, the person is already working and extended his permit to the 3 year cap. The policy does not describe this scenario. I am not here to convince anyone, I only stated what I know and it's cases specific

Hello Gaoraji i don't think it because of the sponsorship letter that you were delayed.Your mum bears your surname and one will read meaning that shes your mum. I feel it because of the fund in your mum's account which may be a bit low(as i don't know the course you are studying and the tuition fee) and also not declaring that you were denied a USA visa previously.Have you been denied a US visa when you were an adult (18 YEARS + as a principal applicant)?
