Look at this.

The French do not fly any Mirage F1s. They have Mirage 2000Ds and Drones stationed in Tchad. Nigeria does not fly ATR-47s either. What we have are ATR-42s.

There is no source or evidence of that happening, i'm referring to that post in his blog.

It's more of a hallucination than anything else. Where is the source of the information?

Nigerian Air Force F-7ni's never carry Air-to-Air missiles in bombing runs against boko-haram.
I am not referring to his previous post o, I just asked based on curiosity because recent releases by NAF always show both jets in action.

Within the MNJTF framework, countries are allowed to work in each other's territory. MNJTF HQ in Baga coordinates the activities of all member forces operating in the AO.

French fighters stationed in Tchad and Niger only support Operation Barkhane. They are not an extension of the Niger or Tchadian Air Force.

OTHER POINTS RAISED BY THE DOCUMENT WHICH I COULDNT PLACE ON MY BLOG DUE TO ITS PROVOCATIVE NATURE INCLUDES

1) NAF undertaking surveillance in neighboring countries
2) NAF bombing boko haram targets in neighboring countries
3) NAF receiving intelligence from French Air Force
4) NAF aggressive stance during CTCOIN OP in foreign soil
4) NAF Alpha jets are not adhering to allied calls when pursuing BHT
5) NAF ground forces working with foreign troops in neighboring nations
plus others.

No police force has all its members as qualified jumpers, it's exclusively to the STF so that's one of the unmatched training.
Well outside Africa, GSG9, GIGN, GIS, EKO Cobra and several other LE PTU's across Europe are qualified for free falling and have divers etc..

Henry this is a false narrative being peddled by people who really can't get their facts straight at least they should be able to correctly identify that Nigeria only flies the ATR42 and not the ATR47
Secondly Going back to the waning days of the GEJ administration and moving forward into the Buhari administration, Nigeria , Cameroon, Chad and Niger signed a MNJTF agreement that solidly allowed the right of pursuit into each other's territories.
Notwithstanding that Nigeria has an agreement with the UK, US and France whereby the the Countries are called the P3
One of this calls for Britain to give real time surveillance, it borders on sheer fantasy to say Nigeria would pursue bh across the border into Chad and France would scramble Jets, what for when the U.K. , the US and the NAF are there.
Fact withheld by me:
In 2014
Nigeria was paying Chad approximately $1.5M a month to pursue Bh across the border into places like Malam Fotori and Damask.
Not only that Nigeria supplied Chad with Weapons and Logistics as they were constantly strapped despite their bravado.
In 2015
PMB stops the payments and despite the hypocrisy America gives the first in a series of Cash payments to the MNJTF, all the Cash is routed through Nigeria first .This continues till today.
Uncle Idris as is the case fumes.
The NAF in the last couple of days has come under a media barrage.
First it was they want to prolong the war.
Second it was they were bombing empty targets
Now this.
Just for your information :.
France, the US and UK share INTEL with Nigeria.

The key words here is "ALL MEMBERS". Those units have some of its members as specialised jumpers, with the STF all of its members including their dogs are jumpers.

In South Africa's case, I believe special forces are not allowed to be deployed within the borders of SA, only externally (I might be wrong). So if you are dealing with a highly sophisticated syndicate or terrorist group that might be using waterways to conduct their business, a police unit that uses fast boats and divers will come in handy.

isn't that what join task force are meant for? So special forces cannot be part of Joint Task Forces for internal security operations? That's messed up.

The military cannot be solely deployed inside South Africa unless it's border patrol... When deployed it's to assist existing security agencies like the Police or the Hawks (that's a worst case scenario). The military is no longer allowed to even search civilians unless it's on the border.

So what if terrorists pull a Kenyan mall stunt in South Africa, what will happen then? On provision the intelligence failed to pick that before it happens then the STF will be moved into assault position, the NIU and TRT will be available for backup while maybe the military regulars secure the mall outside. The Special Forces won't be seen anywhere during the event.

I think the intention is to completely disassociate the military from the daily running of the country. I'm sure only 1 in 300 South Africans even know the names of our top military generals, as opposed to places like Egypt where generals hold immense power.

I don't think they are. I know Task Force is, and other military units. But even if they are, it would probably be considered a deployment to the border. In any case the idea is that the military is only called upon last within SA's borders.

that's Is a useless unsustainable law. You have a large swat of uninhabited land enough for insurgents to plan and prime their attack and you even have a law to prevent the only people that can neutralize them. Why didn't you guys create elite units within your local Armed Forces like its done in Nigeria e.g police ctu trained by special forces. Or is the law completely against the operation of elite units within your soil?

As jln115 says it's part of border patrol because Kruger Park borders two countries, also the fact that the poachers are crossing with weapons into our territory is something worth taking military actions for.

so when will poaching of Rhino meet the legislative procedural requirement for the deployment of special forces unit inside your borders? You guys should be happy you don't have issues like the Fulani crisis will have here. Thanks to the joint operation with elite units, some of our law enforcement agencies are now able to stand their own against advanced threats that would have required deploying the military. Sometimes joint operation is also all about capacity building.

Dude the bolded is exactly why we have the STF and South African Secret Service?? Anti Poaching is part of the Army's border patrolling duties since the Kruger park borders 2 countries......they are not part of any other anti poaching duties other than in the kruger park!!
