So am adjusting to life over here in regina and I can assure you that it's a wonderful city, though small. But it's a beautiful city where everything works. For those coming to regina please make sure u resume early to attend orientation (this will help you meet people and please ask questions about anything and everything). Once you arrive, make sure you get your student id and get your u pass activated (makes you have access to free bus to anywhere in regina), also make sure u get your SIN in downtown incase you were not given at your point of entry. You will also have to adjust your resume to regina standard (to apply for jobs and please accept anything that comes your way, you can always switch jobs later). Its important you get a sim here and it's comes with a phone option from iphones to Samsung (you will only be subscribed to a monthly plan). Please load your nigeria line with lot of credit as your folks can still reach you through it till you get settled. Also get your bank account opened and ask question about the credit facilities (awuf dey run belle). Its important you get a saskatchewan Id too. And also get your health card. Please don't be shy to ask questions oooo. Ask anything you feel you don't understand , don't come here and be forming oooo.... communication is key to your survival here. Also feel free to contact me anytime.. I will respond once am free (the education system here is totally different from ours back home - am adjusting to it and it's time consuming). I rejoice with all trv choppers and for those expecting I say congrats in advance. Regards. 17 Likes |

Hello house, Please my friend applied for the study permit via paper route in June, although she was not guided well at all. There was enough money in the account but she was still rejected based on 1) Purpose of visit 2) Not satisfied with her choice of course, even though she chose financial accounting because she's an accounting student 3) Not sure she would come back after her studies Going from the previous thread, I already told her if she's opting for PGD she has to have a convincing SOP, don't know how correct I am. My main question now is does she need to request for GCMS notes, not sure I know what it is but I see people talk about it a lot here because she wasn't even called to do medical test at all. Hope to get a response soon. Thank you 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by bayocanny: 4:17pm On Sep 13, 2017 |
deolutolu:Yes, it can be done in a day provided you got to the medical centre early. If you plan to use Children Practice at Ikoyi, you don't need to book appointment just make sure you go there early so that you can finalize everything before 12pm. |

Vickenny: Hello Boss, It is good to see you looking out for your friend. But don't you think it will be better she asks her questions directly here. That way she would have "first class" information. Because, no matter how hard you try to simplify our responses here for her, there will always be loss of data packet. The words in bold from your statement above further buttress my point. [b]To answer your question, let her order for her gcms notes (GCMS notes is a document that has detailed information why a VO denied the applicant VISA) to get a real feel of why she was denied. I hope this helps. PS: For as many of us that acts as middlemen for our friends with respect to questions about admissions and visa application, please I beg us, let us try to convince (or encourage) our friends to always ask their questions directly or better still become silent readers. I am very certain that many related questions already have answers (and most have already being answered). I know some will say they are busy, but correct me if I am wrong, no one can help you create a better future except you. So, if they are busy when it comes to getting information that affects them, then they really do not need what they seek. But then na my opinion though. #Garri don set, who want drink? 4 Likes |
