Good evening everyone, pleaae everyone I have an issue I would love to adress. There is this elder brother of mine who is a British citizen and as at when he left nigeria he had a boy and now the boy is 16yrs old. the boy happen to stay with mw because he lost his mom when he was 3yrs old so the thing now is he is planning to join his dad in the uk and he is out of secondary school as hw passed the last waec and his neco exams. He is done with his tuberculosis test as well as his ielts test and will be having dna in few weeks time. Please house after all this to my knowledge is that he will apply online go for biometrics and submit documents. The question now is (1). The boy has no bank acct and the boy and his dad are the type that rarely take pictures together infact there is no family picture. hope this won't pose as a threat? (2).is he to apply for settlement or family visa? (3).is there anything that can causw visa refusal so that it can be addressed now (4). due to the fact that am not that knowledgeable as regards this visa what are the documents that will be needed from this boy and his dad? please I don't want any link cos have tried Google but it's not been bringing out futile result even home office website. (5)should his dad just send his payslip I mean his acct statement in the uk or is there any minimum amount of money that should be there. (6) will he just take his documents to where he will have his biometrics done or will he have to send everything to uk? (7) like how much is the visa fee? Thanks everyone and please house I nees a response as early as possible |

cindylee: Misrepresentation is a ban-able offense for sure but ban was not mentioned in that attachment as i can see. Have your baby in Nigeria then reapply when your hubby settles in his new job |

I was brought to the UK by my dad when I was 13. Wen to secondary school, college. Couldn't go to uni coz my dad past away. My mum has also past away 17 years ago. Before my dad past away I applied and I was told to go back to him but by this time he had already past. I then put in for reconsideration which took another 4 years for them to reply to me. I was told to report to Croydon immigration centre. I then applied again with wife (then my GF) and i was refused because am not married to my partner. I got married in the UK and applied again to my surprise I was refused again because i overstayed in the uk. So we diceded i leave to move back to nigeria and reapplied as a spouce as advise by lawyer. I applied for a spouce visa 24th of May and I left the UK 5th of June to attend my biometric appoint in Lagos 8th of June. Was told my application didn't contain a TB test 3 weeks later. I did it and send it to them after a few times they confirmed they have seen it and linked with my application. It's getting frustrating and still awaiting decision. I am really scared I need someone to advise me. Applied 24th May Biometric 8th of June. TB test request 3 weeks later and sent to them next day. Awaiting decision. |

Sholeola23: There are lots of gurus in the house that will give you a better answer but let me just say something small. I will assume you are applying for a spousal visa and the processing time is 3 months, how ever it can be longer. I will suspect that the 3months will start counting from the day you submitted biometric. But given that your tb cert. came in late it might alter the timing a bit. So I will advise you to wait till the end of the month at least. With the way the HO operate, if there is a significant change to the time, they will communicate with you. Spousal visa is more of a waiting game. I understand that the waiting can be agonising, but you really don't have a choice. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello everyone, I am a regular person on this forum. It was through this forum I brought my wife from Nigeria to UK in 2015. She is on 2 years 5 months spouse visa and I did all her application myself through knowledge gained from nairaland and met friends for life who we still speak till date. We have a daughter of 19 months now and expecting another one in 2-3 months time. My reason of the above explanation, my wife has a daughter ( my step-daughter) of 6 years. Her father was never there when she was born. I have been paying for feeding and education in Nigeria as she currently staying with her mummy ( my wife sister) sister. I have all the receipts of sending money to her up keeping. Her daddy name is on her birthday certificate. I need advice on how to bring her to UK so that we can all live as one family. Please, I will appreciate your advice. |

Sholeola23: You did not need a TB test If you have not been away from the UK for more than 6 months. you will need one if you have been away for more than 6 months. Also, due to the complex nature of the case, it might not fall within the 12 weeks time frame. Some lawyers will say 6 months maximum. So be patient and prayerful. |

congrats in advance, please when did you do your biometrics...i am tired of waiting. @lexus @ justwise @real and everyone, please can i ask for priority service after submiting over 1month, I have had it up to my mouthful, I am going to throw up any time soon...Pls can I ask that i want priority now or its too late?? Also can we call MP, our kids should have resumed last week in the UK school we have secured admission for them, but no one to care for them except me so their dad can work, abeg is this good enough reason to call MP, they hold british PPS, they are not going to school here o, i have pulled them out....pls guys, what do you all think? Sholeola23: |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lexusgs430: 11:01am On Sep 14, 2017 |
subomi2: Too late for priority application........ The only way is to withdraw your original application, pay another fee and use priority (not cost effective)...... Unfortunately, you have to wait....... You could send them to their Father and he pays a live - in minder, to look after them (Daddy must have deep pockets) Nothing your MP can do, your application is still within the SLA timeframe........ 1 Like |

antiaqueen: True not necessary like oga lexus said i wanted to change my maiden name to my hubby name when they told me the long process it might take up to almost 3months and I have to go to abuja to do biometric I just left it you wrote you want to apply month end its fine . In ur application just write that when you get to the uk you will do a change of passport since the process is long in nigeria that will take time that was what I wrote Best of luck all new applicants follow all instructions here . |
