The Military of Mali is about to be boosted with the delivery of a Harbin Y-12 turboprop transport plane by a Chinese company
Harbin. The new aircraft was spotted in the company's facility in Heilonggjiang Province in China.

Similarly, Mali's Air Force has received a single C295w transport plane in 2016 also in an attempt to modernize the Malian Air Force transport fleet.

Denel Aeronautics receives A350 component contract

Denel Aeronautics has received a contract to produce A350 components for one of Airbus’s biggest suppliers.

Theo Kleynhans, in charge of Denel Group strategy, said that Denel Aeronautics is making A350-1000 pylon components for one of Airbus’s major suppliers. The company has done the industrialisation and produced a trial batch of 20 pylons ahead of mass production. It is the first substantial commercial aerospace item produced by the company outside the components for the Airbus Defence and Space A400M Atlas military transport.

On the commercial side, Denel Aeronautics continues to produce the winglets for a North American business jet, which are complex metallic/composite structures. In order to grow their businesses, Denel and Aerosud are both looking to get more aerostructures work in the commercial industry. Aerosud already makes over a million aircraft parts a year for Airbus, Boeing and others.

“Going forward, the Rooivalk upgrade is going to be a major focus area,” Kleynhans said, with Denel Aeronautics working towards the possible eventual production of new aircraft. This would entail industrialisation at Denel Aeronautics – already the old jigs are being dusted off.

The third incident occurred when two Mi-24 hind assault helicopters of the Nigerian Air Force conducting an anti-terrorism maneuvers entered Chadian territory while chasing some terrorists without proper authorization from the Chadian Government. Shortly after they were detected and ordered to leave two other unknown alpha jets were detected at low level and in high speed heading towards the same direction the hinds went. Two French Air Force component Mirage F1 was immediately sent to intercept the Alpha jets out of Chads airspace, even after visual identifications and several radio calls the alpha jets continued with their flight. 


Moments later two other aircrafts was detected by the Chadian/ French air defense station violating the airspace. This new contacts were of extreme high speed that only a fighter jet could attain. Alarmed by this massive airspace violation two more Mirage F1s was sent to identify the two new contacts and ward them off Chadian territory. After visually identifying them as Nigerian Air Force F-7s, the French Air component F1s immediately conducted a quick intercept and warned the F-7s to break its approach and egress which they refused until the hinds and alpha jets left safely out of Chadian airspace that the F-7s allowed itself to be escorted out of the airspace.


Wonder what we would have been doing with 4th generation aircrafts if you've got balls with F-7s.
