Something we don’t see a lot of, MNJTF. “The Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Lucky Irabor paid an operational visit to Sector 1 of the task force in Mora – Cameroon, on 11 September. On arrival, the FC and his entourage were received by the Commander Sector 1 Brigadier General Bouba Dobekreo who presented a detailed brief on the activities, achievements and prospects of the formation in the fight against terrorism and insurgency. In his response, the FC thanked General Bouba and his troop for the warm reception and detailed brief. He expressed happiness at the achievements and successes recorded by the formation and promised to give necessary support to the command. General Irabor used the medium to appreciate the President of the Republic of Cameroon Paul Biya and other Presidents of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) countries and Benin for their commitment, determination and purposeful leadership towards ensuring peace and security in the region. He also commensurate with the Sector for the souls of those that paid the supreme sacrifice and wounded during the fight against terrorism. He stated that “I am glad that schools have reopened and commended the alertness of our troops, do not assume and remain of and doing” the FC reminded troops. While in Mora, the FC paid a courtesy call to the Senior Divisional Officer Mora and was received by the Secretary General on behalf of the Divisional Officer. In his welcome remarks the Secretary General welcomed the FC and commended General Bouba and his team for their excellent performance while urging them to keep up the spirit “we have a very good collaboration with Sector 1 of the MNJTF and need to intensify the security of our common borders”. On his part, General Irabor thanked the secretary General for the warm reception accorded to him and his team. He reiterated that “Insurgency requires contributions of other agencies in order to maintain peace, security and harmony in our countries”. During the visit to Mora, the FC visited 1st Battalion (sub Sector South) and had a brief stopover at 152 Nigerian battalion in Banki, where he was welcomed and briefed by the Commanding Officer of the unit.” 2 Likes
