Seriously? You should be the first with this issue in this huge thread if am not mistaking, forget about the Google thing, you won't even buy any device if you follow that.
He's actually the second I'll know of. The first person dropped his own in Water before it got spoilt and it still charged when the phone was switched off sef. I asked him before he told me sha. He didn't give me the full gist ab initio, just the my phone stopped charging thingy grin
Another charging port gotten for him tho.
If the Google charging port myth was actually true, I should be selling charging port by now because those that got phones from me would definitely report but I've only gotten one charging port for the phone that "swimmed " grin

Exactly the point, it's weird to start ordering charging ports, very rare to see one with the need to. The charging issue is mostly from the cords. I sold an original stock charger from a stolen redmi note 4 mtk to someone who got his charger burnt. After trying it out, the guy still complained of very slow charging even after trying different cords. I wasn't surprised because many cords around are not meant for 2.1A charge speed. I have friends who had similar ordeal and was blaming the charging port too, only for everything to normalize when the right cord was used.

My brotherrrr, let's leave all these. We all know that GALAXY S8 is on top of the food chain. If we talk about value for money, eheeeeem, we now talk about the One plus 5.
U know why I love mi self, I'm a tech freak. Ain't loyal to any brand. The fact that I'm now using Xiaomi (RN4) no mean say I no go sabi my MATES again

Depends on your justification of food chain. I am looking at cost ratio vs spec levels. On both aspects, in my humble opinion OP5 wins both battles.......

You might view it differently........ I am also not a brand freak.

My present device is an Umidigi Z1 Pro, this is my own version of value for money...... Yours is probably RN4.. We all know our mates.....

Now let's dance.

Cost ratio vs spec levels........ When you compare the specifications of the S8 vs OP5.

In my humble opinion, the OP5 offers better value... I don't have to spell out the specs to you, the spec sheet is available if one looks.

What I would require my device to do for me, at the moment Umidigi offers me that privilege. Would OP5 offer me any more? NO

But I would speak from my personal perspective. My decision does not have to align with yours......

Don't complicate budget and specs, Bro. Let's say dat someone is on a budget, OP5 wins it, but let's say dat money is flowing like d rivers of water, then there's no comparison at all.

My boss, u caught me...

Am using the 3gb ram and 32gb rom version.

Seriously, the phone is a Bae. Am on stable rom 8.2.12.0,

Performance is fluidly so far. The phone is light, sleek and smooth.

The led light is white, can't be changed, and it is right below the home button.

The 5" gives the phone an iPhone look.

When you say the right cord can be more straight.. What about the one that the phone company packed with it if the cord isn't good why should they pack it fur us in the first place and after a month or two we start spending on cables again this needs to be fixed...

Fact are, the baseus is made for bass heads, the plextone too has bass in abundance bt more balanced than the baseus...
The metal cover on the y split and plug doesn't make the baseus more durable than d plextone, more of a look than quality... It would had been better if the volume rocker is made of metals. That being said, the plextone even has magnetic adsorption to keep ur earphone tangle free...
Baseus is 6.41 usd while plextone is 6.49 usd.
In practicality the plextone wins bt in look baseus it is... U can not go wrong with either of the 2

Oga mi, na which earphone u recommend below $10, that isn't in-ear. Even if na below $5 sef grin

Good question, the one packed with it is good, but don't seem durable according to some complaints here. I have made so many orders for people I know and only two have complained of spoilt cord, one after a year and the other after just 5 months. From what I have gathered both are actually rough users, the later's phone even looks like a 3 year old already with shattered screen and rough scratches even with screen protector and casing. Not indirectly saying those with such issues are rough users but I have personally used two, one got spoilt accidentally( my fault), and the other was stolen, and I still have more persons around me that still use theirs without complains for months. It depends on usage, but it's definitely not the best cord around in terms of durability.
