Few Days Ago, some Nairaland IPOB e-warriors were bragging that IPOB chased away soldiers with Stones, and Broken bottles and were ready to pick up sophisticated arms and destroy and Burn down Nigeria, the event of the last 2 days has given them a cause for the quickest U-turn i have ever seen in my life. right now every IPOB e-warrior is denying and calling themselves saints, Unarmed and peace loving. Denying every video and statement of violence attributed to them, describing the videos of IPOB touts combing passengers buses as fake / forged, claiming the destroyed yoruba mosque was caused by thunderstorm. Quickly disassociating IPOB from the Abraka Attack that killed 4 Hausas

Video or pics evidence would have saved you all this ranting. Don't you think so?

How hard can it be? You so desperately want to prove IPOB are violent, yet with all your might and sophistication, you can't provide even a pic or video evidence of such. While on the other hand IPOB have video and pics evidence of Igbo people killed or tortured by Nigerian Army, which you and your ilks had been masturbating over and cheering the military on.

Cutlass carrying IPOB members are not armed? So na only gun be weapon to you. I see! So you think those people guiding kanu's house who have swore to fight for him and lay down their lives will not have revolted or come at the soldiers?

Kanu had the guts to create biafra army and flaunt them publicly on the Internet. What was he preparing for? Nor be war? Why does he need an army? Don't deceive yourself bro.

Have u seen IPOB members on rampage on videos? They are very very very arrogant and feel untouchable. I read a lot of rubbish on nairaland too that if anything happen to kanu Nigeria will be wiped out. I don't blame them, it's the impression kanu gave them. Where are those nairalanders today?

You are not there, don't be surprised those guys came at the soldiers who wanted to gain access into kanu's house to arrest him and if you probably charged towards a armed man or become a barricade to a armed man or soldier on a mission, you will be gun down fast becos soldier orientation na war and to defend themselves as fast as possible or get killed. It's simple.

This is common sense naa!
simple brother. It's common sense for a man to defend himself.. talk more of a trained military personnel.

That meaningless submission by him ,killing of unarmed civilians should be condemned

Meaningless?

Wiser words have never been spoken: "Don't mess with soldiers with guns and bullets."

Why? Because, knowing Nigeria, there's not going to be accountability if you get shot.

There won't be any consequence to the soldier who did it.

They abuse logic and common sense.

I hope you saw the video of ipob members looking for Hausa's in transit buses.
Only terrorists do that.

Isis will stop a bus and ask people who are not Muslims to come down, then kill them if that can't recite the Quran. What's the difference between the two?

War hasn't started, KANU has disappeared. Thought he said he was ready to use is life for the struggle. Why didn't he surrender to the Army when they came? Why use human shield?

The guy is a bloody criminal and a thief

Wickedness naim go kill una just bicos d name Nigeria dey sweet una, simple truth has eluded u all.
I'm a niger deltan and I like people who speak the truth.
Wen did dat video surfaced and at what stage did they started looking out for Hausa pipo in buses?
Is it not after Buhari and his gang started killing unarmed easterners dat they resulted to how to pay back
by looking for Hausas who are buhari's kinsmen?
Have u ever watched a video were Ipob members killed anybody but
thousands of videos showing Boko Haram slitting throats abound all over social media.
Bros comot dat tin wey u take cover eye and speak truth.

I wish to remind this dude that in that same US, non violent protests such as IPOB's are simply monitored by Police until their violence gets to a certain level before the National Guard is called in.

As for discipline, I can authoritatively tell him that alot of soldiers are in military correctional facilities as I type this for different human right abuses.

I don't like ipob neither do I like Nnamdi Kanu and his arrogance, I just don't like how human lives are wasted in Nigeria like chickens.
have you seen protesters create their own army in the US. Why una no get sense like this. Education should be close to a century if not more in Nigeria but it seems many just don't ever want to get educated.

I used to think before that the american and british soldiers were so powerful like angels, but the iraqi situation showed that they were just human beings.

When those iraqis stood up against them, they were forced out, but not as winners.

Soldiers are human beings.

Now that we had established that you have no video or picture proof of IPOB killing any Hausa man and that you are fabricaing that story out of innate Igbophobia and need to bring harm to Igbos resident in the North, by instigating the North into reprisal attacks, we can all let the issue rest for now.

Re: "Operation Python Dance"

Here in the United States, I've worked with some top military brass (my boss in this picture is a colonel and counsel to General Vadnais of the United States Army).www.nairaland.com/attachments/5969683_adeyemo_jpeg36f1cb47cb176f0ba1c1c8b9ba79bb6f

Military strategists don't like war/conflicts, but they've no choice. In any military operation, things can get ugly very fast.

When I (as a law clerk to the General Counsel) participated in "Operation Northern Strike" scenario, Captain Ryan tasked me to review a pocket-size rule of engagement for soldiers, so I included all statutory and humanitarian laws in it.

During the simulation exercise, we got some feedbacks from foot soldiers and their leaders: JAG (acronym for military lawyers) officers are unrealistic, they said.

When real hostilities begin or any military operation is initiated, and a soldier faces an imminent threat to his life, he doesn't revert to a pocket-size manual on the rule of engagement (he doesn't call the Commander-in-Chief); his first instinct goes to his basic training: And that can mean anything, depending on individual soldiers.

Does a soldier face the risk of being tried in a military court, for violations of human rights? Yes, but guess who will judge him? A soldier (or soldiers) who had been in his shoes. With all the atrocities committed in Iraq, Israel, and Afghanistan, how many soldiers are in prison?

My point is this: Don't mess with soldiers with guns and bullets. Let's embrace peace, for "dead men tell no tales."

Akintunde F. Adeyemo.

His statement is bad, the atrocities committed in Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan by US Army was vindicated by the US gov itself on the argument that they needed to bring peace and order to the region, what if an army commits any atrocity or do anything to harm a civilian( a US citizen) my people we know what will happen na, US is not like Nigeria mr Colonel, at least you thought about humanitarian laws in your dealings, but here in nigeriA, they don't put anything in consideration.

This African Golliwog is trying to support soldiers acting as police against unarmed civilians. Tell me all the riots in the united states how many times did the President deploy the military?

When two Nigerian terrorists killed a British soldier in broad daylight in England, did you see the Prime Minister deploying the British military?

You're a bastard and will remain a spineless Bastard as would your unborn seed to come.

IPOB is a terrorist organisation. Simple. They are armed and dangerous. Ask the hausa men killed in Oyigbo, Rivers state if you can. Ask those killed in asaba, delta too.

Well, like the writer explained, when you attack a soldier he responds with force, based on his training.

You attacked soldiers yet you expect them to do nothing or run away or bow to you? You guys are kidding me.
.
Blame Kanu for any IPOB member who died after attacking soldiers.

I agree with th late part of your post but what the man is saying is a soldier is trained for war and he goes by what his instincts tell him in a self defense situation and that is to kill. Who judges a soldier, it's a fellow soldier. We saw this play out in the murder case of the soldier and his airforce GF. The IPOB are creating a war situation thus a soldier can't be guilty of murder.

Times have changed, people have moved on. Nobody will attack the Ibos in the North or any part of Nigeria. Your "Dilectors" plan has failed. He has been labeled a terrorist. the leaders in the Southeast has proscribed his group and activities. he had succeeded in deceiving a lot of illiterates and constituting himself a nuisance to the country and even his own people. Nothing wrong with self determination, but there,s everything wrong when its led by a scam artist and conman like Nnamdi Kanu whose major grouse was Jonathan losing the election to "onye awusa"

A couple of things: First the soldiers acting illegally in the mid-east were supposedly at war in which they frequently came against 'combatants' sometimes with equal deadly force in which there were several casualties as such illegal acts were just in tandem with èscalated violence. I didn't see that happening in Abia state.

Secondly he can boast that the army got away with atrocities abroad. Can he equally be sure that is possible on US soil against those perceived to be citizens and not foreign enemy combatants. Can an American soldier or Army attack American civilians and inflict such carnage without reply by any institution of governance. If it can't, I cannot seet ths basis of comparison beyond justifying the acts of a soldier under the pressure of combat.

The two scenarios are just not the same and he is just trying to be clever by half. As a matter of fact he had better watch what he posts and says in public because as a counsel it can be used against him in a court of law should a case and the need arise.
