Seriously, our midfield lack any creativity in the absence of Pogba, just imagine we didn't buy Matic, it could have been last season all over again. This same fixture last season ended 1 - 1. It must be said that we have improved tremendously and we are scoring high.
Now we realise the usefulness of dablord

We'll definitely miss him

This are the type of difficult games against stubborn opponents that you have got to win to be Champions.
Very important win in the quest to get back to the top.
I think Ashley Young should keep the shirt for the next game.
Lukaku is on fire right now.
De Gea is worth 10 points a season on his own.
Antonio Valencia? What a rocket first goal.

Nah, he should improve his finishing pls, can't afford to miss certain chances in UCL......

Good win though, no party for the haters... Cc Oasis007 grin grin grin

Matic did the job of Pogba for us today while Fellaini and Hererra did the dirty work. His calmness on the ball is terrific. He plays with so much composure that I fear he might lose the ball at dangerous places.

This season, we're not dropping points foolishly like last season, so it's a positive thing. If only we won at Stoke.

Mhiki is the worst player today. He doesn't even close any opponent down. WTF mehn!!
The good thing about him is the assist or goal he gets when he is having a sh1tty game

I heard someone saying DDG can use his ears to save... cheesy

I don't know about others oh, Matic is the MOTM. He's a little bit ahead of Fellaini with his slick passes and tackles/interceptions.

I swear to God

Fellaini is proving me wrong.. Day by Day

I'm not surprised by Fellaini display. He's tactically limited but very passionate that's why coaches love him.

His hard work pays

But he did well today

Not saying he's the best keeper in the world but I wouldnt swap DDG for any keeper in the world.

Correct sir! He's just a show on its own. Commando!

But truth be told, that midfield was porous. We would have been punished for it

Horrible display, great win. Mourinho got his subs right again.

At this point, I'm about to give up on Rashford. Since returning from the Int'l break he's been serving shyte upon shyte. It's as if he lost his brain while on national duty. Dude had no idea what he was doing. He couldn't make simple decisions and always put himself in difficult positions. I'd like to see him on the bench next week or out of the matchday squad. He needs to re-examine his head.

Mkhitaryan is towing the same path. I don't know what is wrong with him but I think his village people have finally gotten inside his head. He keeps dribbling into the opposition and wastes time on the ball. He spends too much touches on the ball too and his final ball is horrendous. Yes, he got a goal but Lukaku has his name written all over that ball.

I can forgive Lukaku for that 1 on 1 miss but this is strike 2. He lost a sure goal in the game against Basel too and now I'm wondering how many goals he'll lose this season if he continues this way. Good thing he redeemed himself later with the assist to Mkhi and by 'assisting' himself for his goal too. smiley

And DDG is world class. Denied W. Rooney at least 3 separate times. That dude is the best gift SAF could give Utd.

I'm glad for the points but we need to pick ourselves up. Everton were poor defensively and gave the ball away many times in dangerous position. City would score 6 goals if Williams keeps giving the ball away to KDB. Chelsea would demolish them too.

The only 'tough' game we've had was against Stoke, and we shipped in two goals. Hope we keep getting better before meeting the big boys in EPL and UCL.

They played better at Etihad na. If they served Chelsea, Tottenham or City this rubbish they would get thorn apart. Chelsea or City would score 3 goals alone from the way they lost possession at dangerous positions.

That means we pressed them to make the errors.

We flop our chances, courtesy mhki>>>Rashford>>Lukaku

Post Match Comments:

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho: "We started really well and in the first 30 minutes were really impressive where we were playing probably our best football since the beginning of the season.

"Everton had a reaction in the second half, we lost a little bit of control. We recovered that.

"We brought some consistency to the game and then I felt we could go with the counter, with Martial for the last minutes for a result that was too much, too heavy for them, they don't deserve to go with this result."

On Antonio Valencia's goal: "An amazing goal, but I think the performance was good even in the difficult moments. The team was consistent, solid, showed solidarity.

"I am really pleased. I think 4-0 is too heavy for them, too heavy for the effort they brought to the game."

I hope noticed the lack of quality and that he's not clouded by the scoreline. If he noticed and decided not to talk about it, great. He should give Rashford and Mkhi the scolding of their lives. We won't get many chances against top oppositions, those dudes should get it right right now.

Goalkeeper David De Gea has reached the landmark of a century of clean sheets for Manchester United in all competitions.

In doing so, he is now up to fifth place on United's all-time list of goalkeeper clean sheets, behind Peter Schmeichel (180), Alex Stepney (175), Gary Bailey (161) and Edwin van der Sar (135).

CLEAN SHEETS BREAKDOWN

WHAT I LEARNT FROM THIS GAME.

1. How did mourinho know Namenja Matic will be this fantastic, very excellent signing. MOTM.

2. De Gea is the best goal keeper in the world. Yes he is better than Neuer.

3. The importance of Pogba is evident, Felliani is a very functional player.

4. Young coming back from injury is a huge boast.

5. We need upgrade on Mata. Mkhitaryan should sit up.

6. What the hell is wrong with Rashford, Although he is just 19. He is excused this season

7. Lukaku 7 goals in 7 game. Very good striker

8. The scoreline flattered us, it's a poor showing.

9. Mourinho was very correct to offload schnerderlien, he is a shitty midfielder

10. Rooney na my main man but him wan fall my hand, De Gea saved us big time.
