larrytorch:It is on few cases that application would exceed the processing time stipulated by CIC. Normally, most application are processed and a final decision made within the processing time. So it shouldn't be anything scary. If you intend to apply, apply as early as possible with a complete application meeting CIC's requirement for a study permit. BTW, there is no way you will start the visa process without being offered admission. You will need the offer letter from the school to apply for a study permit. 2 Likes |

dennisworld1: Start your research by knowing what you want to study. Visit the website below to find schools, then proceed to each school's website to know about requirements and tuition fees. www.universitystudy.ca Most of the schools have their respective tuition fees stated on their websites. Mail the school for more enquiries. I hope this helps. |

Please if your sponsors live and work abroad (U.S and U.K). Must they provide the sworn affidavit of sponsorship? |

larrytorch: And what Letter will you provide from the school to the VO for TRV? Don't get me wrong, Canadian TRV is getting tougher by the day and it's been like that for a very long time now. The only changes is that people are now focusing on Canada and makes the application much for them which brings about the weekly fluctuations in processing time. The best thing to do is apply early and make sure to put up a very tight application, also make sure you tell it to God in prayer if you believe Him. Although those whose application has taken longer time did the same but God knows best. Do your best and Let God do it at the appointed time. Do not panic!! 5 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Favoured111: 4:54pm On Sep 17, 2017 |
hi all, i just submitted my application but realised that because i didn't respond 'yes' to the question,'will you be applying for a family member?'; the application i ended up filling and submitting online is actually a single application not a family application. please is there a way to correct this? my intention was to go for studies together with my children- my hubby was going to accompany us just to settle in, then return back to Nigeria to continue work. i really didn't want to wait till i get mine before applying for theirs. i tried to start all over to see if i'll be able to link my 'already submitted application' with theirs but from the questionnaires given , the system is obviously prompting me to make a fresh application for study permit for myself then my accompanying family will then be part of it.....which is impossicant... or should i do a paper application for them? then link it to my application? how possible is that? i don't know o just asking... please useful contributions will be highly appreciated... thanks.... |

kozta: Project Management is different from microbiology. The question is are you currently working in a project management field, if yes, did u state this in your SOP with valid evidences such as employment letter and all. If No, why project management, if you are planning on changing fields, you neee to explain that to the VO through your SOP, why, the benefits and your plans in the filed in Nigeria. For the funds of the sponsor, possibly u didn't relate how the person is related to you or why he is sponsoring you or perharps, the V.O wasn't convinced enough that the funds would be readily available to you or he noticed some lump sumps deposit despite the heavy cash flow in the statement. However, order for GCMS notes to be on the safe side, that would give you full info on why you were denied My little thoughts Cheers. |

Favoured111:Hello ma'am. As it is now, you may have to withdraw you already submitted application and then apply with a new application which will then have your family members included. They cannot apply for a study permit as they will independently apply for one while also meeting the requirements for a study permit. Alternatively, you can wait till a final decision is made on your application after which you can then apply for a visitors visa for them and your husband as well. 1 Like |

Hello all, Well done on the wonderful job you are you doing here. I have a question that I need clarification to Is it possible for a Bsc holder (2.2) in Economics to apply for a diploma in Energy Asset Management? Poster works in an oil and gas Servicing firm... But has a goal of switching fully to the IOC sector ... The switch in course and diploma is to ease the transition to the sector.... What are the chances of getting into the diploma program? During visa application will it pose a problem? I look forward to your responses... Thank you |

mightyola:It is not a must but to convince a VO, it may be necessary especially if your sponsor is a 3rd party. An affidavit is a binding document and it is tenable as an evidence in a court which makes it credible. |

But all th same, that man who is your personal person can surely help you. Smiles... Sorry once again. Order for your gcms notes and let's tackle the matter. 1 Like |

Hello house, is it possible to change sponsor within the space of one month of denial, this time with new sponsor transferring living expenses & paying tuition, both evident on statement of account or using the former sponsor, but with no evidence of transfer from the account? Has anyone changed sponsor within a short period & was approved? Thanks |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Arebo: 6:19pm On Sep 17, 2017 |
RAY12345:. Sorry about the denial bro, did you change your program this time around? ...this was the same question I asked just days ago, if it's possible to tackle a reason for denial now & get delayed again for another reason, the best bet it to tackle all aspects to avoid stories that touch even if one was denied for just a particular reason. It is well |

so what happens to the visa fees i've already paid for.? would i have to pay fresh fees? Austinpee4: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 6:46pm On Sep 17, 2017 |
mightyola:Yes, he is. Immediate family members are not 3rd party but sometimes, CIC still mention siblings sponsorship as third party. I guess parents are the exceptions. Can't say for sure. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 6:49pm On Sep 17, 2017 |
Favoured111:Only CIC can determine if the whole application fee would be refunded or a portion of it would be refunded. In a case of applying again, you will pay a fresh processing fee. |
