I applied for my GCMS note arrived on the 17th of August and it arrived yesterday 18th of september. Gurus in the house help look into these reasons for refusal. Even though I have travelled to both UK and USA. Thanks After careful review of application and supporting documents provided, program of study in Canada does not appear to be consistent with the previous education and /or employment history. Applicant appear to have limited economic/ social ties to home country as well as limited travels which could demonstrate a history of having travelled and returned. Based on the evidence provided I am not satisfied app is a genuine student who intend to complete course of study in Canada and would depart at the end of authorized stay. Refused 1 Like 1 Share |

vikmeek: That sounds good and dandy using the cousin in Canada who is a medical doctor as sponsor. That said, I don't not see the logic of using landed property in the U.K as a home tie. So that maternal uncle was good riddance! I will advice you to find ties that binds right here at home. Parents and sibling bio data or birth certificates, landed property in your family's name and an explanation of how it will induce your return. Statement of Explanation of an extracurricular activity you have a track record of participating in the past or present that shows a vested interest in your homeland therefore is a measure of probability that you may return. Some guy approved I remember talked about his volunteering at an orphanage and how his dad instilled in him a passion for learning and trained him to succeed and make a difference to his homeland. You might not know, but VOs are suckers for inspiring life stories like these. You will be well served to include them. 2 Likes |

LONG POST ALERT!!!! Good day people, I am not the type that jumps into conclusion, but rather will hear from the horse's mouth, ok! It's about people complaining about ordering for their note through one IGEOLUWATOBI, the person in question should speak up & let them know what's up, it will be unfair for one to be delayed, then getting scammed for ordering d reason for refusal after waiting for over a month, then finding out nothing was ordered, the emotional trauma that comes with VISA REFUSAL is alone itself, then adding pepper on top of it, please & please, I am writing this epistle because after my visa was delayed, I asked about ordering my note, and the next thing I got was a mail from the said IGEOLUWATOBI asking if he could help me order my note, the first question I asked him was where is he based & what's his name on the forum & he replied with no name & said I should let him know if I am interested, that was his reply. So please the guy in question should speak up & let people what's up with their gcms note, will post a screenshot of the conversation, all I need to know is if he is genuine. Thanks! NB: couldn't scroll up to read, please ignore all mistakes |

I must say, it's looking tougher by the day to get into canada. I have been waiting for admission into university in canada for months now. I am thinking is it possible to get a Canada tourist visa, get in there and convert it to Study VISA. This is because it does take a long time to get visa approved from nigeria. I hear a decision on one's application is reached within days abroad. Why is Nigeria so different? 1 Like |

vikmeek: Lol, he'll be the one to explain to you . I don't know how best to explain. It is the most valid document that could be used to assess ones financial strength. It is issued by the Canada Revenue Agency and it shows the total income a taxpayer make in a tax year, as well as taxes paid. 1 Like |

lordjayabs: Are you sure that was the only reason? 5 years ban for not disclosing visa refusal is just too much. I think the person is not telling you everything. It's people that falsify documents i know get such severe punishment. But to answer your question. The person may try other countries, except US and maybe UK and Australia. I know for sure US and Canada have an agreement to share immigration information. It's possible that UK, Canada and Australia may have such agreement too, I don't know, but considering their relationship, it is not impossible. |

Cherryola: Yes you can pay half of your fees, so long it's not a compulsory requirement by your school. You can pay half fees and pay the rest as stipulated by your school which should be before the start of 2nd semester I suppose and if you have the full amount, all good. Cheers |

ayooluwatoni: U.K. Also shares information with Canada and US. If you apply for a Uk Visa, it will ask if you have been specially denied visa of UK, USA, Europe and two other countries I think. After which they ask about General (all countries) My thoughts thou. Cheers |

Senatorkolade: I find it highly incredible that VOs would engage in the profiling of any application before they have read the content of the application. I say present all that is needed to present a clear, unequivocal and relevant picture of your case. Present not only a chapter, but a volume if necessary. You can do so without submitting irrelevant stuff not necessary. I know someone whose Statement of Expalanation was 14 pages because that was what what it took to explain his circumstances. He did it in a very engaging and interesting manner and was a winner in the end. Really every case is different in complexity. Some need only few pages to make their case, others need a booklet. Whatever you do, the trick is to stay straight to the point, engaging, inspiring and relevant. Assemble an application that makes the VO want to open the next page and the next, not one boring and gives migraine to the VO trying to decipher the meaning and purpose of a slew of documents presented. |

Smile4mee01:This will result to nothing... To change your status as you've indicated, you'll have to go back to Nigeria to apply for a study visa. Call cic for more info. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 2:35am On Sep 20, 2017 |
Smile4mee01: If that is the route you want to go, it's possible. Go to to Canada on a visiting visa and apply there to do some remedial program that allows you at the end to get into a real full time university program that is not remedials. After you are done with the remedial program and get accepted into the university, you can apply in Canada for student permit and a change will be done from your visitor visa. That is your only loophole to getting a student permit while on a visiting visa to Canada. And it's legal and many have done it with favorable result. Wishing you the best. 5 Likes |

mesh2003: I find it incredible that people settle on a PGD/PGC without even trying to get into a masters program, thinking they are never going to get in because of a low grade. Talk of a clear case of fait accompli. I think these people don't know the power of their words put on admission paper. Grades are important, but thank God they are not all that an admission decision rests upon. 2 Likes |

Cherryola:It depends! If you were given a conditional acceptance letter then definitely you can go ahead and follow the instructions on the certain amount to be paid(to meet the condition(*full admission /secure a seat) b4 visa application) meaning were you required by the school to pay? If Yes, go ahead Some schools donot accept tuition until resumption so you should direct your questions to your school again and also if you'll get a refund if the good doesn't happen Goodluck |
