@All

Please nobody should post 3rd party GCMS not website here again, use https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

I'm going to add the official website to first page now.

@Egbon Justwise, I don't think the problem is with the website sir, I think people use 3rd party because the person requesting for GCMS must have a status in Canada. So I want to suggest we look for a way that can actually solve the problem. How can those already in Canada help people on this thread get GCMS? Or how can we simplify the process of requesting for GCMS? Please help us work on that sir.
If I say I should help, how many people will I be able to help.....? $5 is not a lot, but $5 x 10 becomes $50. And that's just for 10 people, so if there are 20 people, how do I choose those I wanna help without being labeled as being partial?

I'm just throwing this up to you sir and of course to other ppl on this thread. Please let's come up with good suggestions.

It is saddening that on such a forum like this, some evil people would still wanna take advantage of other people. It sure cannot be well with such people. Well, I'm waiting for ideas.

NB: By help, I mean free of charge. With no form of remuneration at all.

Dear all, after submission of application at VFS, and you discover you omit one very vital document like 24hrs later, bearing in mind that you mentioned the said document in your SOP as attachment, is there a remedy? Let's discuss!

Good evening house, wow I have really learnt a lot from this forum. Kudos to everyone keeping this page alive. I really wish I had discovered it on time. Please what can I do ? I was refused my trv in April this year on purpose of visit and travel history. I applied to university of Regina for an undergraduate. In my application I omitted the fact that I have been refused American visa twice I didn't realise the gravity of this omission until I stumbled upon this thread. I want to re apply and state my refusals in this new application. I know they already have my records in their database. Please, what can I do? I regret my actions gravely.

Hello Promise, hope u were not given ban for misrepresentation?

First you should understand what a lump sum is as it relates to visa processing. Lump sum is not general to everyone. A deposit of 25m in an account that receives 30m weekly would not be considered a lump sum. That is why embassies ask for up to 6 months bank statement, so they could see the transactions that went through the account before the date it was printed and also what made up the final balance. So if in the first 5 months of a 6-month period bank statement, the total transaction was less than 2m, and in the last 1 month, 5m was deposited into the account, for sure such account would be flagged, except an explanation and evidence is provided about where the money came from. And most of the time, the deposits that get flagged are the ones that were made just few days to when the statement was printed.

So check your sponsor's statement, if there's a very good turnover, you shouldn't worry. For instance in my own case, my sponsor had a turnover of about 600m, and there were multiple huge sums (like 5m, 10m) entering and leaving the account at a time, I didn't worry about it. His balance was just about 5m or so.

If on the contrary the account has not been so active, and a huge sum hits the account, she may need to talk about where the money came from in her sponsorship letter. Perhaps she had to sell a piece of land, properties, or had to get a loan for your studies. Another example, I know someone that had to get a loan of about 4m in his account, and he explained in his letter that he had to sell a piece of land, he evidenced his claim with receipts and documents from a lawyer, and it worked out well for him.

I hope this helps.

I wish you goodluck

Thank you for replying. Since June, my sponsor has been balancing her account well. But In a case where a sponsor transfers like 2m from her savings account to her main account (the one I will be submitting), is there any issue.

If I told you what you did was wrong and the CIC would be mad with you for that, what will you do?

Relax bro! You've submitted your application and the best you can do is pray to God for the best. To be realistic, that is not a material misstatement/omission. And if they find out about it, they probably would cut you some slack. There's no such thing as a perfect application, we only try our best not to make mistakes. Even the CIC once apologized to me for making mistake on one of my applications. So again I say to you, relax! The worse thing you can do to yourself right now is to accept defeat because of that error you made. Forget about it, and hope for the best.

But if however you keep having troubles and don't have peace, you could fill out a web form to correct it. Just search for "cic web form". The web form is used to make enquiry about your application and to provide more information to the CIC about your application.

I wish you Goodluck.

thank you boss

good evening gurus. I went through the thread and I have sent a lot of good work done. welldone to you all. pls I have just been refused visa although before I came across this thread. now I am thinking of reapplying but my sponsors account is now below 5m slightly above 4m and it is not even up to 6months I want to reapply am good to go. I need advice pls. Thanks.

Hey,
You were denied visa cos of insufficient funds i may say.
You are required to show your tuition fee and an additional $10,000 in your sponsors bank statement.
Now, if your sponsor has these money in his account, he has to have more sufficient for his family after sending you to Canada to school.
Looking at the current exchange rate, i think you will need more than 5 million naira in your sponsors account.

Hey,
I think you should go for a Post Graduate Diploma program.
Masters in Canada requires a solid 1st class or 2nd class upper.

Hey,
I think you should get a back dated job offer letter from a company and also a recommendation letter from same company claiming employment.

MedellinCartel:
My people good evening and I greatly appreciate everyone that has contributed on this thread since page 0. I'll like to throw this question open and hope that great minds here will give me a good answer. I graduated from a reputable federal university here in Nigeria in 2015 with a Bsc in Biochemistry and a second class upper degree. After Nysc I tried securing a job but since then till now no show so I decided to enrol for an Msc in Nutrition and Toxicology (which started January this year and should end next year if ASUU gree) but I'm not happy and do not feel satisfied cause naija seems uncertain. I spoke with my sponsor and she is willing to sponsor me to Canada to study for a diploma in Practical Nursing in Alberta. Before I proceed what do you guys think about this? Without a job how do I prove my ties to my home country? This is what bothers me most. Thank you.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by codedflamz1: 1:34am On Sep 21, 2017
A visitor visa holder MUST leave canada to apply for a study permit.
jnyuwa02:

I actually will highly recommend that route, having been denied s student visa because of PGC. Find a remedial program and concentrate on finishing and when done with an acceptance from the college, apply for change of status. It's not rocket science bro. Anyways look forward to discussing further with you. I think I see a pm coming in from you as I type. Will respond.

There are certain narrow categories that don't have to leave, among which is someone who has completed a remedial program in Canada and accepted to a full time university study. Those people can apply for a change of status in Canada.

I think I am going to have a problem getting a sponsor . My dad does not have up to #5M in his account now . Are there other options to get a sponsor outside my family ?
Getting a sponsor I think will be the difficult part for me . An agent informed me that he can actually get a sponsor for me . I don't know whether that will be possible

Yes there is a remedy. My funding letter came out August 22, but I applied June 6th. I sent it through the case specific enquiry system and it was added toy file. If it is very important like u said, and u are not to comfortable mailing. Withdraw asap and reapply. But CSE and their email will be very sufficient I think. Cos CSE will added it to ur processed file anywere world wide. Just get to link your app on line first. Then send CSE with explanation to support it.

By remedial program I am referring any completed short-term course or program of study, which is a condition for acceptance at a designated institution of learning in Canada. If you complete this short program on a visiting visa while in Canada, you don't need to return to Nigeria. You can apply to get a student permit within Canada. So says Canada law and rules of federal regulations.

Hello everyone, I have an opportunity to study practical nursing in Canada since the Nigerian situation is no longer helping as I have been unemployed since I left the university in 2014 after a second class upper degree in Biochemistry. The issue is this how do I prove ties to my country since I have no job, no business or a wife. I realise that I cannot be the only one who has been in this situation yet succeeded in getting a visa na why I carry the matter come here with all humility. Thank you for your prompt answers...

You can prove ties without family, business and land. Sometimes statements you make on your letter of explanation, a VO may be convinced you would return. That is how scholarship recipients who have no spouse children or landed document to show, meet the tie requirement. They are automatically viewed as bright and promising and the most likely to come back to their homelands and make a difference. All it requires is convincing the VO. You won't know what is possible until you go through it. Don't be discouraged. Be strong! Go for it! Do your best and leave the rest to God's infinite wisdom and plans for you.
