No oo...don't shade the one you don't know or not sure of. because correct answer might not be there and if you shade¿ I guess that's (-1).
it's used extensively for scrapping candidates populations

Your competitors are working hard on how to score everything in the Post-UTME. Many of them are at Apex tutorials daily cause they want flawless victory in the Post-UTME. You want your naivety to offset your preparation? Why don't you focus on what you want to achieve than belabour yourself with what does not matter and not true.

It's however your choice. What you think of, you become and what you strife for, you achieve. Always have positive expectations.

I am not sure if there will be negative marking, what you should aim at now is 80% and above going by the course you want to study.

Another thing is if you can monitor your admission process pls do. By monitor I mean know the performance of candidates for the same course you choose, compare your score to know your chances of getting the course especially for competitive courses and finally connect to the ogas at the top if you can.

Now UI admit students on merit, you get the needed score, you get the admission, there are no two ways about it but what I am about to say happens in some cases and only those that are vigilant will not loose out. Let me pick EEE for example, say UI's quota for this department is 80 but going by the performance of candidates, the number 80th candidate falls on 76% where as, there are other candidates who scored 76% say 15 more candidates.

What they do is to increase the cut off mark to 77%. Now, 5 more spaces are left to make the number of candidates complete for the department. This now becomes man knows man issue because 20 candidates scored 76% but only 5 space is left meaning only 5 candidates out of 20 candidates that scored 76% will be admitted to the department of EEE.

That is why you will be surprised when you see guys with the same score with yours who got the same course you choose and you keep wondering what happened. Though you might be considered for another course based on your performance but don't just sit and relax after you see your result, make enquiries, I know people who got lucky by making enquires because they got to know the situation of things. But if you can't, you can only depend on God or what you believe in based on your religion.

I am not supposed to say what I just said because people are not supposed to know but I went through this thread to a large extent and I can boldly say you guys are really doing well to help one another and I wouldn't want any of you to loose out due to lack of information.

Above all plan yourself this period, you can't afford to be joking around, be faithful to your plan and hope for the best. I wish you all success.

I will make a research on that. but I still don't believe this.. If the answer is not there, for those who didn't shade It might be bonus; Its even on rare occasions...Those who shade will marked zero,Its a win win and lose lose situation .

Not to sound too sure, because I am no longer in the system, I modified my post by saying I am not too sure if there would be negative marking but I believe there shouldn't.

Sir, It's Paper based for the exam. UI doesn't have the Computers to take the amount of Candidates even for 2 days with CBT.

I thought I was brilliant until I met my course mates. Electrical and Electronics Engineering guys are wizards in human form, though not all as there were some Judas among us but over 50% are extremely good. MBBS is worse with almost 20 students having 7.0 CGPA at the end of 100 Level and this happens every year.
Note: If you are going for MBBS or any Engineering course pls prepare well because the people you are wrestling with are not normal lolsss. Pls this is not to scare anyone o just prepare well leave no stone unturned because it might be that stone you left behind that will cost you your admission. I wish you all success.

pls what about industrial production engineering is it also very competitive
