Almost always play as our top striker/no.9 naa... meaning most of his goals comes with him as the top 9 naa... while making a case for Rashford goals as a wide midfielder/winger.... is that not what your statement implied? Ehn Mister... is that not it? Kelechi has scored four of his international goals as an AMF... #Fact wanna dribble your way around this one again? Hahahahahahahahaha.... Look quit this silly game and own up to the truth for once... See how you walked into the discussion just to rubbish Kelechi's scoring stats again.... Two of his international goals have been Worldies (won CNN international goal of the weeks awards). He did that twice not once... twice!!! Give the lad the respect he deserves. Your willingness to wash down his positives are always irritating... always!!! Not even to mention the comment you stylishly dropped on "goals padded with penalties". smh Mickael2: 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: when people start comparing Rooney's goalscoring stats last season, nobody cares that he played some games as a midfielder, but the fact was that he played mostly as a striker and that is what we judge. Now down to Nacho, he has played more games as a striker(I can't recall saying he scored more as a striker, I only said he almost always plays as a striker for us, haba stop putting words in my mouth Oga)and that was what my statement implied, nothing goes deeper than that. Who knows if Rashford is played as a 10, he would score more or as a striker as much as Nacho has played for us, that bit we can never tell and I don't want to go there. But the bottomline is that Nacho has played more as a striker and so ought to have scored more goals than a wide midfielder, does that make sense to you now? |

Chrismario: he has two penalties. If he wasn't our primary penalty-taker he would be on five goals. Now England has had quite a lot of penalties recently, if Rashford was playing them he'd definelty be closer to 7 right now. That's all permutations anyways, Rashford's return still isn't bad |

Chrismario: Iheanacho's friendly goals count but when it comes to Kayode it doesn't count? His only noteworthy tale this season was an assist against one club like that in a friendly. Not to mention that international friendlies too count when it comes to Nacho, so I totally disagree with you 1 Like |

Ofcos many times in fact.... If I name Africa's best XI now... you may only find one or two Nigerian players.... lolll... And that depends on the formation i use sef... in another formation.... yiu will find none or just one.... Honestly... on this thread I have discussed that before but not in full terms... A blind patriot will include more than three sef no matter what.... lol What I cannot stand is people using their Brains and eyes that have been washed and soaked in European club football allegiances to view the beautiful game of Football even when it comes to The Super Eagles and African Football... I know a whole lot about European soccer... believe me... I know a lot... but you won't find me in the European section. I have never been there except in the past for match day threads... but club threads... no way.. never been... never will. But I don't allow myself to be blinded by the European flavor... dopeJemi: 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: so because I said Rashford is better iheanacho makes me unpatriotic? or means I can't see past my club allegiance? so in a bid to be patriotic I should peddle lies as facts? it is a fact that right now, Rashford is better than Iheanacho I guess it will also be unpatriotic of me to say Pogba is better than Onazi or De gea is better than Carl ikeme Top 10 young Talents in the world, Iheanacho's name is nowhere to be found, Rashford's name is in it but I should take your word that iheanacho is the better player over Fifa's please don't make me laugh, talk to you later 2 Likes |

I was not even referring to you exactly....I just mentioned your name because I was trying to refer those reading my comments to where I said I have no club allegiances and all that.... When saying I don't find club allegiances talkers cool... I said it after attaching your name in bracket to an earlier line of comment. I was speaking generally... but not particularly to you. Your name came up because I wanted to recall who I told I don't even have a club and don't hate man Utd.. lol... Anyway.. it is okay... you misunderstood shaa... ... But uhmmmm... I am not asking you to be patriotic by saying every Super Eagles player is world class... nope... if you know me on this thread... that is not my style... I just insist on not rubbishing the positives and credentials of our Nigerian players. I insist on truth without attempt to rubbish our team. Period. And check the 2017 list of UK telegraph's World's best 50 U-21s .... a very prestigious and highly revered list. You will find three Nigerian players there... four if I count Solanke. And Guess what? Nacho's name is there too... Give this lad a break... I am about posting a news now sef about updates on his fitness levels... na wa ... Nacho will come good and will be great in the long run... You will see things for yourself.... The race is for finishers not starters. dopeJemi: 1 Like 1 Share |

Leicester City Coach Gives Rohr Positive News On Iheanacho's Fitness Leicester City coach Craig Shakespeare has provided a positive update on the fitness of Kelechi Iheanacho ahead of Nigeria's World Cup qualifier against Zambia in about two weeks time. The Foxes number eight has started only one game this season for club and country, last weekend's 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town, due to a toe injury he suffered in a pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Premier League clash against Liverpool, Shakespeare stated : ''We’ve got some of the other players back. ''We saw Vicente Iborra on Tuesday night, who managed to play the 90 minutes and he’ll benefit from that. ''Kelechi Iheanacho is looking a lot fitter after 48 hours in terms of where he was and getting his conditioning right. We’re slowly getting to a fully-competitive squad.'' Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is expected to name Kelechi Iheanacho in his roster for October's World Cup qualifier against Zambia. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Photo Credit : lcfc.com Source: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=24730 1 Like |

Agent Of Club Brugge Bound Nazifi Yahaya Reveals Why He Prefers Nigerian Players The agent to Kano Pillars teen wonder Nazifi Yahaya has revealed why he is more comfortable working with Nigerian players than players from other countries and continent. Cem Sagar who has already secured a trial with Club Brugge for the talented 17 year old told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive interview that Nigeria has one of the largest pool of talented footballers. ” We have worked with Nigerian players before and their talent is not questionable. It’s the biggest market in Africa, if not the best. Our aim is to produce the first £50m African player and we at Diamond Sports Management believe it will be from Nigeria”, Sagar told Owngoalnigeria.com He said as part of their strategy to cover Nigeria, his management team will organise a scouting tournament in Lagos, which will be attended by scouts from big teams in Europe. ” We are bringing some big teams in and outside Europe to watch some Nigerian players in Lagos next month. We fully trust the talent in Nigeria and we believe it will be a successful tournament like the one we had six months ago”. He concluded. **Osas Mahawi Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/09/22/agent-of-club-brugge-bound-nazifi-yahaya-reveals-why-he-prefers-nigerian-players/ 1 Like |

Before you try to rubbish Nacho's stats, please consider the oppositions as well. Eagles Goalkeeper Akpeyi Rated MOTM In Back To Back Games For PSL Side Chippa United The first choice goalkeeper of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Daniel Akpeyi has returned back to the form that once made him one of the most highly rated shot stopper in Nigeria. Akpeyi experienced a downturn in form during the course of last season for his Premier South Africa League side Chippa United, and it affected his form for the senior Nigeria national team. He was roundly criticised after Nigeria lost 0-2 to South Africa in the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers in Uyo last month, with many insisting he should have done better particularly for the second goal conceded by Nigeria. Coach Gernot Rohr stuck by the 31 year old by inviting him for the back to back games against Cameroon, but injury ruled him out of both fixtures with Ikechukwu Ezenwa deputising in his absence. However as Rohr get set to name his squad for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Zambia, where a win will see Nigeria progress to the World Cup in Russia, he has returned to top shape. His fine performance against SuperSport United helped Chippa United pick a valuable point away from home with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. The performance came few days after he kept a clean sheet in their 0-0 draw against Platinum Stars. So far he has kept two games this season, and in both games his performance earned him accolades with many fans even tipping him as their man of the match. **Shedrack Obi Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/09/22/eagles-goalkeeper-akpeyi-rated-motm-in-back-to-back-games-for-psl-side-chippa-united/ |

Alhassan “Muazam” Ibrahim Explains Why He Missed Europa League Clash Against Milan Super Eagles of Nigeria fringe player Alhassan Ibrahim has revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com, the reason why he didn’t play for his new team Austria Wien in the Europa League. Muazam as he is fondly called by close friends and associates joined the Austrian side on a year loan deal from Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United. Many expected the highly rated 19 year old to make his debut in the Europa League game which they lost 1-4 but the forward didn’t make the matchday squad for the game. ” I am settling down nicely at my new club. My team-mates have been fantastic, I must say. I didn’t get to play in the Europa League because my work permit wasn’t ready before the game”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat. ” My debut went well and am looking forward to this weekend game. I’m not under pressure to score, I am the type who puts the team first ahead of my own personal goal”. **Michael James Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/09/22/alhassan-muazam-ibrahim-explains-why-he-missed-europa-league-clash-against-milan/ |
