PietroRico: Then do not celebrate it. You hurt someone's feeling in a bad way. It goes beyond footie banter. Yet you came in celebrating it like a trophy. You are far better than this. 2 Likes |

Y'all come out and speak up against the unspeakable horror I committed and maybe, just maybe he will grow a pair and return and more importantly learn from this experience. Any insult directed at me regarding this issue henceforth will be roundly ignored. |

I think the reason why most of the regulars here refrain from calling people out when they are having a go at each other is because most times the one trying to quell the dispute becomes caught in the crossfire and the situation becomes even more strained. Experience has taught them it's better to let the situation kill itself. Secondly it's not a manly thing calling people who are adults to order almost every time. Common sense and human decency dictates that as adults we comport ourselves well. All in all the thread is a good one notwithstanding that occasionally it gets slimy. 4 Likes |

Please let us respect our parents and those of others. We are a family under Nigerian football. Let us have our backs.

PietroRico: Like seriously This all argument started when I was making some things clear about rashford's rise to prominence in comparison to Tammy, how it escalated to the level of bringing Nacho into the mix, I can't fathom. I tried as much as possible to be civil during the discussions we had, so he himself had to reason to be abusive towards me. It got to a point where he started calling all United fans dollopheads/epl fanboys, I chose not to say anything about it because it meant nothing to me and it would continue to remain like that until I allow it bother me. You bringing his mum up was low man, he attacked you, not your mum. That act alone sells you off as immature and doesn't speak well of you at all. Football is one of the things, if not the only thing that brings us together as one, it shouldn't be a vice that further engenders animosity between us. 5 Likes |

I've had my own share of arrogance, just because Rohr seems to be taking the tie seriously. Doing the needed home work on them. Abi haven't you seen my list for Algeria yet? lol junnyjake: |

Kog45: Musa and Success should seek for challenges elsewhere in January.. I'd say a move from England would help.. Majority of English teams have the same long ball style of play which I'm afraid doesn't suit them. As for Nacho, his time will come am sure..he has the potentials.. Iwobi should make judicious use of the opportunity he is getting now cus Baba Ijebu might send him back to the bench if he drips form... 5 Likes |

I know we all love football though our allegiance and levels of passion may differ. Through the love of the game I trust many here have made meaningful connections and formed friendship with people who otherwise they might not have befriended. I read an article on completesports today where the writer detailed the surprising warmth and generosity Cameroonians showed him despite our footballing rivalry. I thoroughly enjoyed the article. Here too sometimes we go low but (not justifying it) we love the game and I appreciate everyone for their contributions. Super eagles is the only real connection I have with football these days. And you all are contributing one way or the other in holding my otherwise chilling heart close to the fire. 1 Like |

Mujtahida: Ability wise, Success is brilliant on the ball and also a good finisher. Watch his goal in the U20 World Cup where he made a fake short before the finish. Against Manchester United last season, he came in for few minutes and I think completed the most dribbles on the field. He has the quality but he needs to get himself in the right atmosphere to excel. |

Sincerely I hardly go on with the same arguments after 24 hours. I've missed pages because as I was on my way further north. Anyways I would be sincere to say even if I have read the insults back and forth I wouldn't have uttered a word because I won't want to be drawn in the middle. I've had my own share of fights here and it didn't matter if people took my sides or not. We can always move on. But one thing sir I want you to bear in mind, like I've always said, this is just nairaland. I know many of us may hold it so dearly. But the reality is there is no way we can control what people say on the internet. Let's not allow stuffs get to us to that extent if getting so hurt and leaving the thread. I'm sure you have more important things to do and you enjoy this thread as well while passing time here. Others too. So let's take this thread for what it really is. It's secondary. Don't let secondary things get u hurt. TheSuperNerd: 1 Like |
