I have a hunch that the JF-17s are already here and they are hiding them from public eyes. Otherwise, why would a pilot have an insignia of the Jet when they are not here already?
Plus, I have never seen that pilots in an Alpha jet before.
*pics repost
Not possible in this current administration, in fact if those things are ready we will see pics from Pakistan before delivery! Do you know how proud it’ll make them?
Plus it is part of marketing, nobody can hide the sale of fighter jets in this modern age.

Off-Topic: Angela Merkel remains Leader of the Free World! cheesy cheesy cheesy

In order for you to lead the free world, your country must be free. In this regard, I believe Angela "you get one year in jail for criticizing government policy on Facebook" Merkel's Germany is disqualified.

Equally to lead the free world, you must be able to lead. In this regard, Angela "Hungary doesnt return my calls, Britain just told me to get fvcked and Poland is openly mocking me" Merkel is disqualified.

Maybe if (when?) Jacob Rees-Mogg takes up residence at No 10 Downing we could have something to debate, but until then there is only one (and has only ever been one) Leader of the Free World:

"The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive. Do we have the confidence in our values to defend them at any cost? … I declare today for the world to hear the West will never, ever be broken, our values will prevail, our people will thrive, and our civilization will triumph." - Donald J Trump, POTUS.

"I really couldn't care less about South Africa blah blah blah....."

That's what his response will be. Meanwhile he cared enough at the time to make a nice bold post about Biro, claiming how we can put the matter to rest. But we'll have to wait and see, perhaps JF-17 isn't cancelled.

The numbers are crushing. Sadly with a low profile, you won't see much in the southern African bush.

low its better for ATGM , and its an advantage in flat terrains and desert like in algerians territory and borders wink

from wiki :
for Abrams Height 2,44 m
fot T90 Height 2,22 m only 20 cm difference

For everyone' sake it better be coming otherwise someone here might commit suicide.

The day it comes we should prepare ourselves for an FJ-17 post in every 2 posts, which is no harm BTW.

Yeah if JF-17 gets cancelled for real, certain members will find the nearest tallest building. So let's cross our fingers for NAF to get.

Yeah, low profiles are useful in open fields as you become a smaller target to hit.. In the bushvelds, 2,22m is not high enough. A Ratel is almost 3 metres for reference.

no dazzlers

by the way whats the maximum temperature in the Algerian deserts

just for info at high temperatures IIR sensors of ATGM fails to acquire target lock ie where temperature difference between target and surroundings becomes negligible

javelin, spike failed during tests due to this very reason

i wonder if ur military did not order the dazzlers for this very reason , missing in the ind.... versions too grin

If you have a link please post.

The Minister mentioned the mig and yak-130. The problem there is that he didn't specify if it was mig 29 or mig 35 but my best guess is mig 29.

According to him, “The Russian equipment that could be of our interest are MiG fighters and some artillery equipment,” he said.

“We are here [at International Army Games-2017] to have a look. We have identified some items, like the Kalashnikov modern, new rifles and also avionics, helicopters and some other mine-resistant protected vehicles.

“We also looked at the [Yak-]130 jet and also we are thinking how to go about it. We just had a look and now when we go back home we look at some of its specifications before we sit down for negotiations.

“Basically, we have gone for Mi-35 helicopters last year. We have taken two already and are expecting to get another two early next year. All in all, we have about 12 of them.”

you mean the shtora system ? i have read that its very sensitive equipments that must be maintained and revised after each use , so they rarely use it during exercises

Please don't get it twisted. There is nothing to confirm that the deal was cancelled. We are just bordered that the CAS doesn't mention the jf17 when talking about expected deliveries.

Of Super Musharks, Tucanos, JF 17 and self esteem.

Between what the relevant Nigeria authorities access as the true National and Regional threat projection and what foreign experts opine , Nigeria military could settle for Musharks and Tucano's and leave your J-17''s and Su-29/30/35's to the "big boys". Forget your Angola's and your Uganda's, they don't pose potential Self-Esteem threat. Indeed, the Nigeria military could settled for Musharsk alone, I'm sure there are no end of local or/and foreign technicians capable of up-arming them (if Up-Arming is the proper thread parlance) Nigeria could conceivable do away with modern military equipment altogether, based on justifying threat assessment needs, and go at the current terrorists and separatists threat with bows and arrows. Add wooden towers, bolder-catapults and oil-cauldrons to the inventory as future threat assessment contingency. Actually, stuff military equipments, Nigeria has population; why, we could swarm the opposition to death.

The thought above, may or may not raise a wry smile or haughty sniff. However, truth is, Nigeria's military needs could all be dismissed as aspirational and limited to a matter of self-esteem, a thing predicated on pride and arrogance depending on perspective. Thing is, if you don't want to end up doing the equivalent of running at the enemy, en mass, bows, arrows and cocks pointing, you had better be the ones determining your own self-esteem needs and not foreigners determining what your level of esteem should be.

Algerian famous military bloggeur Akram Kharief from menadefense web site asked Alexander Mikheev the CEO of Rosoboronexport directly about this question

the answer , egyptians get the Mig 29 M2 version and the Mig 35 is not ready yet , first delivry will be in 18 to 24 months
