All the players you mentioned were starters for their teams in the league when they made their CL debuts. Same can't be said for Tuanzebe and McTomminay. Starting them is a gamble.

I know they are Starters, but McTominay and Tuanzebe are also Starters [for the U23 though]. They ain't match-rusty. They are talented, they've been tested and a bit exposed to elite Games.

Agreement is what made a Contract either verbal or written. However in the case of Perreira, it's already spelled out - until January he can't be recalled.
