charlesklaus:Let me give you a secret that has tormented and fustrated the IT career of many. When buying a computer the most influential spec is the cache size. The cache is always within the processor and thus part of the processor spec. Google the processor of your choice computer and check its cache size. Low cache size is around 512 KB and high ones for most personal computers are about 6 MB. If you get a processor with cache size of 2-3MB, 4-6 GB RAM is ok. I once saw a 6MB cache laptop(DDR2) that boots Windows 7 like Television. |
