sorry but I don't agree that he should train with the world cup bound squad based on grooming of his potential if he is good enough then he can be invited on merit. If not he can continue to improve at club level when by God's grace we beat zambia to qualify for the world cup we can then call him up with other hopefuls for the game against algeria to get a good look at them to see if they are good enough
what's wrong wit young lads train wit their natoonal team players...
I remember solanke once trained on several occasions wit the 3 Lions squad.
it ignite in them the zeal and ambition to work harder....
I will like rohr to call up at least young players like oshimen and many others even from the league or even nff special tournament like the nff promise competition under 15 and the zenith under 15 football competition...
we're outstanding young players can be granted the olive branch to train wit the national team....
and get to learn one or two things to take home and build on

you see you are now distorting facts.

First against USA I recall Brazil had a player sent off and they scored not so late into the game, like the 68min or so, in that case which sane manager will bring on a striker when you are one man down and you have already scored a goal?

And the final against Italy was too big an occasion to introduce a rookie who was yet to make any appearance at the world cup, if the coach had done that and they lost then he would have been killed for that. The reason why he did not play then is because he is/was a striker and strikers don't get subbed in anyhow

Distorting facts?

Brazil did not score against USA till the 72nd min. It was goalless for a long time. Yet the young striker was not introduced.

Amuneke did not play a single minute in Tunisia 94 till the final.

Ronaldo could certainly have played the final, Brazil were dominant but could not find a breakthrough.

What about the third group game against Sweden? Brazil had already qualified, what better time to introduce the youngster.

He was simply not seen as ready. USA 94 was a way to blood a great prospect into the team not to play him.

Ronaldo was selected in Brazil’s squad for the 1994 World Cup at the age of 17. By then he had scored 44 goals in 47 games for Cruzeiro but he watched and learned rather than played as his compatriots won the tournament.

he is making me angry.....
one will expect kayode or dessers to be called up to replace iwobi...
I pray he gets to field aina against the Zambians.... young Aina I believe will do better than elderson...

what's the essence of running after this players to get them play for Nigeria and still leave them on the bench...

From my personal observations, Rohr and his crew never wanted Kayoye in the team in the first place but were pressured to invite him.

It was reported that Rohr and his crew reluctantly included his name on the list for mere friendlies despite the obvious fact that Kayode was the best player and top goal scorer in the Austria league, due to the outcry and pressure from the public.

It is suffice to conclude that this is the case after the coach gave him only 34 mins out of 180 mins of game time and played him in a different role from the role he became the best in the Austria league.

The antics of late Keshi is rearing its ugly head once again in the national team.

The antics of not playing or giving enough game time to an unwanted player, and playing players out of their favourable position for them not to shine in other to protect their vulnerable and preferred players. grin

Unfortunately, for them the lad is on the book of one of the biggest clubs in europe which they least expected and one of the one they are using to justify invitation.

Because if they are happy about his success, they would have congratulated him and invited him for the qualifiers, but on two occasions the mischievous coaching crews don't deem it fit to put him on standby. How pathetic?

The excuse was he did not play football for a very long time but now silence is all they gave because they dare not talk about game time and goal scoring. Chai! This people think say 180 million Nigerian fans na mumu. grin.

If they dare, they know they will be exposed. grin

Mikel is a nigerian legend not a football legend for me(all na legend sha). Meanwhile the rinse repeat system varies in speed. For great players or near great players like Ronaldo the process was quick from Sporting to ManU, Odegaard as well. If Kelechi is anything like these players then he won't stay for long there, no need wasting a spot on the national team for him

I actually think mikel is a football legend, forget style of play not many African and international world class players can boast of a champions league medal and a man of the match performance in that match, I think he is one of the African players with the most club medals/international medals....it's clear africans are always underrated but take nothing away from the man he is class. He might not have fulfilled the enourmous potential we all expected by at what price: club medals and maximum respect and experience in football, does yaya with all his bad ass football have more medals than mikel?

how sentimental of you (as regards Kayode) to think that a coach could be that sentimental when making tactical decisions during a match.

A striker is expected to score when he plays.Has Kayode ever scored for the eagles?
Kelechi was dropped to the bench after his performance against SA.

If a striker is invited to the Super Eagles team, he is expected to score.

Onyekuru was dropped to the standby list because he failed to score against Corsica and Ebuehi dropped because he handled the ball in the box in the same match.

Modified:He should bcom a regular starter and score many goals for Girona to be invited for the WC.
There is no need having a back-up who will not score when the main striker fails to score.

And you got three likes for this false information. shocked grin

Now, can you please tell me how many matches Kayode played for the eagles, the position he played in those matches and how minutes he played in each matches? grin

Bro you don't always have to think the worst.
Kayode just got to a new team and needs to prove himself so he needs time to settle, he already has been introduced to the team, let him settle first. Dessers and onyekuru like wise, we have guys that can do the job we don't need to unsettle players team commitment just so they can come and fill spaces. I believe we already have guys who can do the job against Zambia.
I don't believe rorh is a coach who would make NFF officials meddle with his selection, do you should know most of the call ups are made by Rorh himself.

What's all dis fuss abt kayode sef
Is it not d same kayode I watched against Delta Vigo when introduced at d 77th minute
His leg touched d ball twice b4 d match ended
And one of d scenario was wen he spoiled one counter attack move,dt ought to av resulted into a goal, infact one of his team mate yelled at him for wasting d ball
All dis happens though in a football match, but I dont c anything special abt dt kayode guy DT oda strikers in our team won't do.
I dont av to c his full match b4 I can access aw gud he's
He scored double fig in an Austrian league, let c aw many goals he wuld churn out in LA liga.

REVEALED: 70% OF CHELSEA FANS WANT 25-YEAR-OLD TO MAKE SURPRISE START AGAINST MAN CITY

Date: 30th September 2017 at 7:45am
Written by: George Blake

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been pleased with the form of Victor Moses this season…

The Nigerian has continued his fine form from last season, dominating the right-hand side of the defence and proving once more why previous managers were wrong to dismiss him.

However, a vocal section of the Chelsea fans in the pub are also very keen to see what Davide Zappacosta can do. Brought in to rival Moses on the right-hand side, the Italian hasn’t had much of a chance yet, and with a game against Man City on the horizon, could he finally get his chance?

This is a debate that we recently opened up to a poll, and the results of said poll were quite astonishing. Surprisingly, a whopping 70% of polled fans want to see Zappacosta play ahead of Moses, with the Italian clearly gaining quite the fanbase after his Qarabag heroics.

Significantly, a similar question was posed ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Leicester City a few weeks ago, and the results were very different. Indeed, at that point, it was Moses that won the race – with a whopping 71% of fans keen to see the Nigerian feature from the start.

Results, then, have done a complete 180 since then, and it’s tough to understand why. Moses’ form has continued to excell, but it appears as though supporters have a yearning for something new.

Lol bro kelechi is very important in the team now, he's our highest goal scorer, such a player cannot be left out, he's just finding his feet after an injury cut him some slack.
For the sake of their carrier stability I feel these players you mentioned need to find their feet and excel in their new club.
I'm not saying it wouldn't have been good to invite these players for the match, but we already have good players let's the guys who has the coach trust for now deliver then we can try these players in games to the World Cup. Although I do agree echiejile needs to be dropped.
