honestly, I want the Zappacosta guy to start, just so Moses is injury-free, and of course ro laugh when he gets skinned by City players, Chelsea fans will then realise that there is no team like Qarasbag in EPL

I agree with every single thing u said.

What's all dis fuss abt kayode sef
Is it not d same kayode I watched against Delta Vigo when introduced at d 77th minute
His leg touched d ball twice b4 d match ended
And one of d scenario was wen he spoiled one counter attack move,dt ought to av resulted into a goal, infact one of his team mate yelled at him for wasting d ball
All dis happens though in a football match, but I dont c anything special abt dt kayode guy DT oda strikers in our team won't do.
I dont av to c his full match b4 I can access aw gud he's
He scored double fig in an Austrian league, let c aw many goals he wuld churn out in LA liga.

Hahahahahah! This guy think say na only rope be Elephant after touching it. grin

Give 5 blind men from birth their views after touching an Elephant. They will come back with different views.

What about if I tell you that Kayode caused a penalty his team mate later blew away in a match, and a classic assist that was supposed to be scored but played wide? grin

Don't forget there are some players finding it hard to touch the ball once this season yet they are on the list of invited players. grin

Only in Nigeria this your philosophy works.

Go to other countries they use their best players to build best teams. grin

Can you please give me just 5 examples of top 5 teams in the world without their best players not playing for the national team. grin

Concerning the bolded, It is basic management principle....that is why leaders move around with their own trusted hands (from Coaches to C-suite executives). By the way, I don't live in Nigeria.

As to your challenge of naming 5 players, my response is I cant. Not because it defeats my point, but because I couldn't name more than two key players from each top team in the world. I am simply not into football that much anymore but I will cite examples from past word cup winning teams.

Aime Jacquet dropped Ginola and Cantona from his team when he took over the national team. No one who went to Euro 96 or France 98 was better in the positions these guys played. However, the team was better for it.

Romario was performing way better than Ronaldo, leading up to the 2002 WC and would have been the choice of many for the World Cup. However Scolari decided not to take him to the world cup. See this quote from Zagallo - the man who took Brazil to France 98.

"Each coach has his philosophy of work, but I would have summoned Romario," he said. "I think that his performances with Vasco da Gama mean he should have gone to Asia. "But Scolari made his choice. I respect Scolari's ideas and will be a fan cheering for success. Brazil can only grow."

Lastly, Keshi dropped Osaze, Martins and Nsofor from AFCON 2013. None of the strikers he called had a better pedigree than these three except IK Uche who was turned out to be the player with the worst returns of our forwards in the tournament.

He caused a penalty? Yes.. but that penalty should not have been given. I saw that match. it's not like he did anything excellent to force that penalty. If you know what you are saying, say exactly what led to that penalty. No hyping here.

Modified
That "classic assist" was not an assist.

Onyekuru is definitely going to make the team. Rohr's body language tells it all. grin

Good. It means Kayode also stands a chance, since those not playing now can still make the team

You know this and you prefer to put every different view down to foul play or "egunje" and not the possibility that others may not see things the way you do

Efe is still very much playing week in week out in the Scottish Top tier after helping his team gain promotion.
We are speaking our CB defensive options at the moment. I'm not ruling out the like of Junior Pius and mabye Omeruo will get back in good form later. But at the moment, I can't think of any other CB besides Awaziem and Efe, as a back up for Ekong and Balogun.

BascoVanVeli:

Efe is only 28.
What age got to do with it,d same Efe Ambrose,Omeruo and Oboboana pushed to RB even when everyone expect him to replace aging Yobo,he should now be back as back up CB for Ekong and Balogun, meaning Taiye Taiwo should get a recall to back up Echiejele, even Obafemi Martins instead of calling d likes of Kayode, Nwakaeme, Oyekwuru, Aaron.

My man better to have a fit Omeruo back in d team than Efe.Thank God Awaziem is showing d class in French league, hope he replicate it in d national team.
