A get together not a bad Idea.

However, distance will definitely be a challenge.

Twill be amazing to meet some you here in person.

However, also we can take a census of our various locations and look for a meeting point that is central.

Or if over 60% of us stay in a particular city. Eg Lagos, then all routes leads to Lagos. Then we give live updates to those outside the country. Hahaha.

Let's see how many will indicate after the Zambian game, hopefully we'd have qualified.

BELGIUM: Jupiler League - Round 9

Brugge 2-1 Gent (FT)
Nigerian trio succumb to Jupiler League leaders.
Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure struck in the 15th minute to put Brugge ahead. Dennis now has 8 goals for Brugge, since joining them this season. 5 of which are Jupiler league goals. 2 scored in the Belgian Cup, and 1 in the UEFA Champions league qualifiers.

Anderson Esiti, Moses Simon, and Samuel Kalu all played a part in the away loss Club Brugge
Super Eagles reject, Esiti, was on from start to finish, and was shown a yellow in the 36th minute
However, Simon and Kalu did not put in a full shift, as Simon coincidentally made way for Kalu after 75 minutes.

Anderlecht 1-0 Standard Liege (90 minutes played)
Onyekuru (Anderlecht) seems to have just scored the match winner before the dot of time. Let's see how it turns out.
Onyekuru have been cautioned in the process of celebrating.

Uche Agbo (Liege) also have been on since the start of the match. he picked up a yellow in the 49th

It seems I didn't make myself clear
.

There is no comparison between the Bundesliga and the Scottish premier League. They are MILES APART
in quality, not on the same level AT ALL.

However, just like the Scottish League they are a one club wins all just like the Celtic in the Scottish premier League. You have very similar characteristics with Bayern winning everything going for the past 17 years plus, bar 2/3 titles. Bayern success in Europe pushes the Bundesliga up on the national league ratings table by UEFA.

The gap between Bayern and everyone else is considerably large. Then the gap between the top 4/5 teams and the bottom section is also considerable.

Unlike in the EPL where it's impossible to predict who as among the top five will win it. In thus regard the EPL is the most competitive league in Europe.

Back to Felix I asked you how many games he has played in the Bundesliga. You still haven't answered the question.

in the last ten years we have had 4 teams winning the Epl, 3 have won nine.

In the last ten years, we have had three teams winning the bundesliga, pretty much the same with the Epl.

Among the Epl top4 I am pretty sure I can tell you that Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham won't win the league and they won't. I can even go as far as telling you that once Manu starts meeting tough opposition they too will crumble making it a two horse race. For the past 4 years the Epl has been won with atleast 3matches left to play.

You mean the same role the likes of Busquets, Alonso, Redondo, Kroos, Makalele played?? Personally I think he simply played as a CM/DM in the wrong team. I remember how well he played under Ancelotti. Imagine if he had that sort of manager for like 4 seasons straight

Some of those guys you mentioned are not DM's. Someone like Alonso is a registre, he played thrived when someone else does the dirty job (Vidal, Mascherano). Pirlo had Gattuso, Pogba, Vidal. Toni Kross is a CM
Now, let me ask, who does the dirty job for Mikel at Chelsea?

If you can't name a DM who have been listed top 3 in Ballon d'Or listing the it should indicate to you that the position is not where to you find theost technical players.

It took me time to appreciate Mikel’s role at Chelsea. I was guest and disappointed that Mikel was reduced to a player playing in an unrated position.

With time, I understood he was a key and important player playing that role. Just as people were ignorant to the importance of Makelele until players like Zidane, Hierro highlighted that he was the most important.

It was not a flashy light role but a role that deserves praise. As long as the managers and players respected Mikel for his sacrifice of personal glory to give the team glory, he got all the respect for me.

I finally was convinced, relieved and happy that the young player, John Mikel Obi who many predicted would become a great player really became great.

Just like Makelele, the Tabloids may not ring his name but history will remember the great contribution of the Mikel. This is the real truth.

Of course Zidane will be rattled when Makelele left. Durring the era of galacticos, they were notorious for not running or marking the ball. Everybody was Oga, nobody wants to do the dirty job for the other person. In such circumstance, why won't Zidane complain when Perez sold the only guy willing to do the dirty job for others (him)?

Omeruo is not even good enough for the standby list right now.

Don't suspect foul play when there is none. Who made move for Sarenren Bazee? Same person also made a move for another German-Nigerian --
I can't remember. We are only hearing of Tammy this Tammy not only because of his exploit in the Championship but he's moved to the Premier League. Added to that Pinnick has a personal relationship with the dad. I'm sure Rohr has he's eyes on those Germans. That's his circle. He knows what to do. Just because he is not loud mouthed like Pinnick don't mean he is not looking to win them over.
Besides, don't forget we made a move on Torunarigha earlier.

Truly not even on standby due to a slow start in d league,i wish he rediscover his form and fight for a place in d team.

Honestly seeing Felix Uduokhai in action, something tells me d guy w be a good bargain for Eagles ,hope Rohr do needful on d guy.

On Tournarigba Jordan i don't think NFF or Rohr have made any move except media speculations, though i read where is Dad Ojokojo Tournarigba said he prefer his son to play for Germany which is unfortunate coz Ojokojo was a thorough home bred that played in Nigeria local league and very popular with shooting star.

I don't know much about Irofa but I expect his Dad to have great influence on him being an ex international but nothing is coming from old Irofa

Kudos must be given to parents of Iwobi,Aina,Ebuhei, Ekong for having great influence on d their children not Irofa and Ojokojo who are home grown ex player and we are finding it difficult to have their son committing to Nigeria.

That is why it was key to the team.

Hierro referred to Makalele as the best player. He said, they all knew. That is those praised knew Makalele was the best.

Zidane tagged Makalele the engine.

The role is underrated but key. Just as how De Bruyne, Sane and Sterling will get rave of praises but behind them, Fernandinho has been the engine driving the team.

Just like Oliseh was not getting the praises like Kanu, Okocha, Ikpeba and co. without Oliseh, the team always had a big hole.

What a nice write up,meaning Chelsea limited his ability as a player but still a Chelsea LEGEND despite d limitation.
I believe he was not properly managed by his agent Shittu. I have seen players sign contracts with the caveat they won't be demoted to the reserves, they won't be played out of position and so many other like clauses. Oxlade Chamberlain left Arsenal not because of playing time but because of position.

If his managers were really up and doing, they would have looked for solutions back in 2007 in his formative years, at the time it was clear he had no room playing further up the pitch for Chelsea. Maybe if he had been developed properly, he could have been in a position where nobody will doubt his world class or legendary status like Yaya Toure.

Lothar Matthaus won the Ballon D'Or as a sweeper/defensive midfielder. Mikel wasn't really much of a destroyer. He was a Regista...I think there was a time Ancelotti or someone compared him to Pirlo.
Besides, Mikel did play alongside Essien at times and let's not act like peak Lampard was all about goals. Busquets alone should be a great example of a DM with great technical ability.

If we can host the first one well enough(even if it's just 10 persons) then the subsequent ones will be a lot better

I have one reservation for the current SE squad, does it mean we have no one who can take accurate FK? By now, we should have a 50% (accuracy) free kick taker.

There was a time Emenike used to take for us, Taiye Taiwo, okocha, oboabona, osaze but of recent, we haven't scored a free kick.

Shouldn't our players be taught this or learn on their own?

Countless times have clubs/countries been saved by FKs.

It's a leverage just like PKs

Bar the Victor moses' free kick that was wrongly disqualified for offside, the last time the super eagles converted a free kick chance was moses Simon against Cameroon.

During oliseh's era, Simon was shouldered with that responsibility and he did well. If I'm correct, he's gent's free kick taker. I'd give him that role if I were the coach.

Of course it is important to have someone who bullies the he opposition and wrestle the ball from attackers. This role was usually left for the lesser technically gifted players.

It is a position which has to do with a lot of intelligence, ball reading ability and also help recycle attacks of opponents into attacks of his team. It does not mean the player lacks ability. Mikel is a good example of a gifted player who thrived in a deep shield role.

It also takes a lot of sacrifice. Saying just bully shows you are yet to grasps th genius of the role. Mascherano is more than just a bully. Same goes to Mikel and Matic.

Reminds me of our 2000 Olympics boys who were happy when Azubike Oliseh got dismissed. They did not understand the stability the young Oliseh Junior brought to the side.

They marched up to the Chileans in the second round and got destroyed, conceding four.

Did Yaya Toure not play the four role and did not look magnificent? When he got the liberty to show his stuff, he performed brilliantly. Does it mean playing there meant he lacked creative ability? When Keshi gave Mikel the license, he also flourished in the AFCON and was the supernova of the tournament.

It is not paper over cracks but your lack of understanding of the genius of the role.
