Mujtahida:

I understand you. There's this extra invincible something, this quite unnameable stuff that marks out great players which Ronaldo doesn't have. Great striker but no magic in him. But I think the difference in perspective on this issue is informed by how long a person has been a football fan and the players one watched in his formative years as a fan. Go to the youtube videos of players like Van Basten and Baggio and read the comments.
It's like some of you guys have forgotten the Cr7 of man united and early madrid days. The super skillful one that dribbles past players with ease. I saw someone say apart from scoring, there's nothing cr7 can do that Hazard can't....all I have to say is go and watch old videos of him. People forget so easily

I have.. we had his VCR tapes back in the days..
We are talking of a player at 17 already doing wonders
leave that matter. when you talk of the greatest ever you have to look beyond your generation.

I am guessing VCR is that black stuff with those long black film, we used to call it tape sha, not VCR. I have those stuffs too of him, I have one for every single match he played at his first world cup and you could watch for close to 50minutes and you won't see the guy doing anything. Watch Maradona or Messi, almost every 20minutes you are sure he will beat one or two players in an embarrasing manner. However you may like him because of that his finish(where he was running to meet a through ball and the gk rushed out only for Pele to run over the ball leaving the keeper for dead, he missed the goal though)

VicMo is our #1 penalty taker. Mikel likes to take them too but the number one option is VicMo.

But who takes penalty for us given that Iheanacho might not start on Saturday

when he was doing it back then how many goals did he score? And he did it for 3-4years maximum and he wasn't the kind of guy that would dribble like 6 players and score, he would always isolate just one guy on the wing and destroy the person totally. When we talk Maradona, Pele or Messi(I could add Ronaldinho), we are talking about players that can pick the ball up from the center of the pitch and beat like 6-7 defenders repeatedly before they score. I'd sooner rank Okocha as a football genius before Ronaldo IMO

Well, you can say that. But I think Ighalo played well against Cameroun because of their style of play. I don't expect him to shine if he starts against Zambia on Saturday.

I hope that I am wrong tho because that's a match we need to win.

We beat them in their home without Moses and Balogun.
Sir, the emphasis is on THIS. The Zambian team we'll be facing differs from the one we played last yr.

Still waiting on other people's view.

Christiano Ronaldo is skillfull no doubt, but watch Best of Christiano Ronaldo on YouTube and then compare with best of Ronaldo Delima, Ronaldhino, Messi, and you would see why these guys are football geniuses compared to Ronaldo.

He was scoring more than 20 goals as a winger and let's not forget the season where he scored 42. Cr7 wasn't always the tap in king you guys make him out to be. Like I said, go watch videos of his first 2 seasons at Madrid and come tell me if all he has is finishing. Dude simply adjusted his game to extend his career. Nothing wrong with that.

VicMo and his drama sha. Chelsea played on Satuday (and he didn't even play) what is he still doing in London? Even Alex Iwobi who played on Sunday has arrived camp.

Na wao for Victor Moses. I like him but, sometimes, his showmanship is too much. Anywayz, it all good and all would be forgiven once he can get us goals (and hopefully a penalty) on Saturday.

In the absence of these trio, does the SE stands a chance against 'this' Zambian team?
Balogun
Mikel
V. Moses.

I would say a big NO! Especially if we start with Onazi-Ndidi combo

I've watched them all and Cr7 is a genius as well. Ambidextrous, great in the air, fast, skillful, super finisher, how many players have all this qualities alone?? Let's not even talk about his first touch which is so underrated.

And have you watched Hazard's videos? Hazard has a better dribbling accuracy than Ronaldo did in his best season(that's best season in regards to his dribbling ability alone) but do we consider Hazard?

Watch Neymar's dribbling abilities and tell me it wasn't better than Ronaldo's at that age. We have had a lot of Ronaldo-like players and I guess they all should be in that 'genius' bracket according to you

was Ondoa not a better goal keeper than the three we had? Did he not collect four despite that?

Who has Mweene faced that makes him better? Did he face Messi or CR7? Or was he not the one that collected two from Alex and Kelechi and collected one from a Cameroonian player?

We are not underrating anyone, but we should not insult our players to elevate others. Go to the Zambian page and see how Zambians are brimming with confidence that they will win us.

Is it so wrong if we show the same level of faith in our players?

I get your points,if the Zambians are overconfidence that good for us

now you know, IGHALO best position and strength of play is always a lone front man, with a SS behinds him,

and that's the position he played under FLORES @watford, with DEENEY behinds him,

I still remember arsenal fan lambasting Wenger for trying to sign DEENEY instead of IGHALO,

you already know y

You're partially correct. If we're playing a team like Cameroun, then the style might not suit Kelechi but Zambia doesn't play that way. That's why I would prefer to start him ahead of Ighalo.

But don't worry, that ain't gonna happen....Ighalo had a good game against Cameroun and I am pretty sure that Rohr would try to keep faith with him on Saturday.
