lekibraky: Thanks Lekibraky, if that would have been the issue , the Eco would have mentioned that the trip would cost me 3 times my salary, but this is vice versa, he said my savings is 7 times my monthly pay, i made hotel booking, Flight booking and feeding with amounted to like 1450, which i believe is not to much for a tourist . and as at ghe time i applied dolkars was like 420 or so oanda rate. thanks for your contribution . |

justwise: My Oga, how can i spend 7 times my monthly pay on foreign travels after reading this forum from page 1 to 340+, for an average tourist trip considering the rate of pounds , I believe 1450 pounds is not much , hotel booking, flight, and feeding , I earn 200k monthly, I have only planned to spend 2+ monthly salary on this trip . What the Eco said was that i still have 7 months my salary in my account without having other sources of income . |

Brightingsus: Thank you brightingus, I used the scope given here by gurus to fill tge application form , its just unfortunate that the Eco would refuse my application based on the fact that i have saved so much , my 6months balance from january started with 1 million + and i printed my statement of account in June ending ,, havibg 1.4 m.

ijeshaoflondon: 2 months of your salary is just 400k which is not even enough for a return ticket to UK, hotel, feeding and transport within the UK will cost you more than a month of your salary. I really don't think you want to understand why you were refused. 3 Likes |

Good day to everyone, I want to ask a question on behalf of my friend, he’s works as an assistant lecturer in a public university and was given provisional appointment in 2015 but this year March he was confirmed as a full time employee of the institution he earn 125889 after tax as monthly income all these reflect on his pay slips and he has closing balance of over 2m on his bank statement. In November he’s going for presentation/research in a university in London and the school management has already provided a letter stating they would be the financial guarantor for all his trip expenses. So my question is what are the documents he need from the institution and is it okay for him to have only letter of financial gurantor coming from the school. |

I'm looking at the image of your application form, why did you answer "No" to having savings in no. 77? If you had answered "Yes" there would've been another column asking you to explain how the savings came about and you could have explained that you have been saving so and so amount of money from your salary for such and such period of time. Answering "No" means that money in your account isn't yours since you stated you have no other sources of income, the question then is, where did you get that money? I WOULD HAVE advised you to reapply immediately and clarify on that, I did that with my own application, I applied and it took 2 months for them to come back with a refusal, I reapplied immediately and made clarifications and I got the visa back in 10days. I used the same bank statements with the application that was refused BUT it's going to be tricky in your case since you said you don't have the money in your account anymore? Is all of it gone? ijeshaoflondon: |

kokoboy4life: A letter of introduction from the university highlighting that the trip will be fully sponsored will suffice from his employer. He must however include all other documents on his personal, family/social and economic/financial circumstances and should be very careful in filling his application form to include these vital information. 1 Like |

Good morning house, thank you all for selfless support. Please help check this out and advc on what to do as the refusal letter says no right to appeal and administrative review. Note: I did not make nor receive deposit/s that total sum of 410,000 in my account between 27/07/17 and 24/08/17 as claimed by the ECO. I only received 66,523.72 and 88,992.65 Thank you.

Attraction: @Pzone thanks alot for the contribution. To be on a safe side please don't mention about friend being a big boy, infact that will make the VO to deny you because its not a strong reason. With my little experience I have gathered, I applied and my visa was granted. I will advice to include part of your reason for travelling is that as a banker, your work is very stressful and demanding and that will like to use 2weeks (7 days is very sudden, even if you intend to spend 7days but just applied for 2weeks) from your leave to have some rest in a seren place where you dont want distractions and get yourself prepared for 2018 work stress. In your application, fill that you plan to travel second or third week of January 2018 and you have to apply now. The reason is that when you go to UK website they specify that the EARILIEST YOU CAN APPLY IS 3MONTHS. Though if you apply now and your visa is granted, you can travel immediately your your visa is out which is in the next 2weeks. I applied on the 5th of September, went for biometrics on the 11th of September and got a mail on 27th September that a decision has been made and collected my passport on the 3rd of October from DHL office because of long holiday and it was granted. I had intention of travelling by DEC but with my visa, I can decide to travel tomorrow or anytime. what I understand is that before you apply ensure you go to UK website, relax and go through the requirements, once you are able to meet it they will definitely give you visa. Dont give the VO or ECO impression that you are in a hurry, it will look as if you another motive. 2) Also get letter of introduction, leave letter which will start Jan, Employment letter, pay slip. statement of account (even you dont intend to go on leave but arrange it with your manager) from your employer. Make your application look real ant their should be justification 3) LOE explaining how your account and anything that can be a show stopper to your application in a simple and short english 4) Home tie- If you are married, provide marriage cert. but if not get a family pictures, letter from your parents or siblings stating that you have been taking care of them, they giving their consent for you to travel and have some rest because they understand the nature of your job and will not like stress to affect you but they also expect you back because they dont anyone to fall back to and bla bla bla bla ........... 5)landed property(ies)is any, Pension statement of account NOTE: Your exact name in your passport should conform with what you have in every of your documents for uniformity and tranparency I WISH YOU LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

feranmi84: How do we know if your account was inflated when you blanked everything? Obviously looking at the statement you uploaded there are a number of irregular financial activities within that period. If that is your salary account and you don't have any other source of income then it looks suspicious. 1 Like |

feranmi84: Guy, why you blot out the statement like that? You're anonymous on here already na. That's totally unnecessary. Meanwhile, is your salary paid in tranches? If your income is N150,000 monthly, question is how did you manage to save that much amount you are here hiding from us? There are sometimes underlying reasons for refusals. You must've made large deposits at some point and it appears the ECO might have made a mistake the dates he quoted, but since you blotted out everything, it is hard to advise you on what to do. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by inphoenix: 11:51am On Oct 07, 2017 |
justwise: Lol a blanking everything. I think the left column is for credits tho. And the 66k + 88k is 150k matches his stated salary cos it's the same for July and August. The ECO probably just got the dates wrong or something but surely, he saw something we are not allowed to see. |

Hello everybody in the house,Justwise and other gurus please I want to apply for visiting visa to UK to witness my cousin wedding she will get marriage to a British citizen by early January 2018 both of them are currently in the UK schoolling. The groom is an Ivory coast National before he immigrate to UK and seek for asylum due to the crisis in his country at that time.I was delegated among the family to travel to ivory coast to confirm his origin to see his parents and also his relatives, and now I was still being delegated to represent the family to UK to witness their wedding which will be done early January 2018.my question here is that, my trip will be sponsored by my uncle who is former member of house of representatives and a regular traveller to UK and I'm still worked with local government council and earn 50k as my monthly salary and I'm also into car business which make me to earn more money than my salary I have a closing balance of 3m in my account which can be available for the duration of my visa processing time.please gurus in the house which documents should I provide to submit with my application for visiting visa to UK that will prove the reason of travel and also prove my employment and business. Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 12:23pm On Oct 07, 2017 |
inphoenix: @inphoenix. I agree with you. This is a typical case of documentation not supporting the content of the applicant form. The applicant killed his application by declaring he as no saving when actually he had saved 1M up to January 2017! The ECO is right to query the source of 1.4M in his account on as monthly saving of N130K if you deduct £200 (N93,000) from N200K. This is up to 10 months saving! My advise is that applicant can reapply and address this simple issue and get a note from his banker showing analysis of his account statement in the last one year. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 12:36pm On Oct 07, 2017 |
lalla89: I sorry your application will not fly with an income of N50K a month even if you have a full sponsor. My advise will be that you tidy up your car business rather and use that as the main source of your income (self employed). You reason for visit is not critical and the ECO will not grant this visa as your home tie is not adequate. |

feranmi84: Kaiiiii... I have seen what the mistake is. This is ECO error. The ECO summed up your outflows and thought it was money received. Do the math yourself. Calculate all the figures, between 27th July and 24th Aug Under withdrawals, it totals 410k. This is pure ECO error. If you reapply point this error to the ECO. |

Good Day my great people!!!! Please I will like you to assist me as usually with a good but cheap airline to heathrow London. Am contemplating using Qatar Airline or Ethiopian Airline. Please my E family, I need your response so that I can book on time |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 1:27pm On Oct 07, 2017 |
lalla89: You would need your car business registration (CAC documents). Invoices and sales receipts. Business account showing remits of sales, tax clearance etc. The CAC registration must at least be more than one year old. However, if you can not provide these essenstial documents, it will be difficult to claim self employment! Having a fiance is not a home tie, as there is no provision in the application form to declare such relationship. |
