adegwurulez:Thank u my brother, sometimes i keep on wondering did i watched another match.Am not Ighalo fan coz I don't normally rate him especially in eagles colour. I prefer Nacho coz his goal rating is awesome in eagles but Rohr for now preferred Ighalo due to his formation, a top 9. The big question is can Nacho do it as top 9 in Rohr formation? against Algeria and South Africa,he was pretty anonymous. It was his performance against South Africa that forced Rohr to call Ighalo, Nwakaeme, Aron Samuel meaning Rohr need a powerful striker. Ighalo didn't disappoint against Cameroon in both legs, although some we argue that just a goal in three matches not good enough but we need to look at his over all contributions.A good goal in d first leg and his great contribution toward Simeon goal in d second leg,his input in d second leg was awesome. Ighalo against Zambia had a nice game though he can do better,I don't see any reason to condemn him for the two misses, this are not clear chances and it must not warrant undue criticism unless those doing so have something hiding. Another big question can Nacho have done better, well i w say in d first leg he does it just like Iwobi did it and did it again but we now have improved Zambia with different approach,so is a tough question to answer. 1 Like |

komekn: No doubt, Tammy is ahead of him at the moment but we are not really sure of his allegiances. The time to make the decision is now if he wants to be in the world cup party. Osimhen is a young boy and has great potential. Wolfsburg's new coach recently made very flattering comments about him. I believe he will get many games this season. He is not yet national team level but you never know how the season will progress. 2 Likes |

do4luv14:Iheanacho goal against Cameroon and Ighalo missed against Zambia are two different things and no need for comparison. The cross against Cameroon was well taken at a very right time but d cross against Zambia,oh my God any striker we turn to Usain Bolts to connect that cross. |

After watching this highlights again, I am pained about the state of the Abuja stadium. This stadium is a very magnificent edifice. See how smooth the grass was, way bigger and intimidating atmosphere. How Tunisia managed to score 2 goals in that stadium with that crowd is shocking. It is my hope that Naija can renovate Abuja, Amesiamaka, and Lagos Stadium. In fact Lagos needs to be increased to 80,000 capacity with a well maintained pitch. These things are very doable. How I wish someone would see the vision to build a 100k capacity stadium in Kano and Enugu, these cities would always guarantee a full capacity with gate fees. But we should never play a day game in Kano rather we should always kickoff by 7 to 8pm when's it's much cooler. Naija can have a world-class stadium cos it's very doable. tglobal: 1 Like 1 Share |

That your line doesn't consider perspective in drawing. The farther you get, the line is supposed to be closer to the centre line. Ekong kept him onside. If we having watched and focused our attention only on offside/onside at that line are still debating, then the linesman's error should be excused as he even had to focus on foul as well. Goal was however scored after whistle had been blown. Probably, Leon would've given him a proper chase to make him miss the goal had the whistle not gone. Hence, no case. Icon4s: |

Kog45: Ighalo was a bit slow there, there was space to run towards the near post instead of the back post. Anyway, it is easy to analyze when the game is over. 1 Like |

Dedebanky85: That's was the match that made me lost interest in Nigeria game... Very painful... It was so saddened though we later qualified... Tunisia messed in Mozambique... And we beat Ethiopia I guess if I can still recollect very well... Did you see those crowd? And someone said abuja did not have football Culture.. What can we called that?.. . Just need to renovate the stadium and also I didn't see SE going there soon cos NFF is always looking for state that will foot the bills of the players.. Whereas abuja is neutral game... |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by soetanoreoluwa(m): 9:21pm On Oct 09, 2017 |
Dedebanky85: Building those Stadia are not the problem but maintaining culture is the big problem... The bigger the stadium... The bigger the maintenance.. Just pray we have a standard and good league where private own clubs.. With the stadium then we can have that your proposed Stadium... But now I dont see this govt doing any building except some state like Lagos... And the governor also promise to rehabilitate National Stadium too 1 Like |

Kog45: We have been down this path before. If Nacho did what Ighalo performed against Zambia, he would have been roasted on this thread. Many would have been calling for a replacement. Let us call a spade a spade. Ighalo was awful in that match. Let us hope he does not perform that way again. |

Tammy dropped a Super Eagles call-up to play for the England U21. Please we have players who deserve it more than him. His conversion rate is not even awesome self. See the big slap he gave us. Chai. 7 Likes 1 Share

Why do people keep saying 27 years as if the world cup is held every year.. Please just say since 1990 or say how many times they missed out of qualifying. chrisooblog: 1 Like |

People don't understand context. Remain available for selection tells you he is already part of the team and he is still available. So are we talking England Senior team now or the U21? I'm still waiting for someone to point out clearly how he shamed Nigeria? Most of us just feel rejected because he did not reject England. Icon79: |
