3 since we talking fire prevention across the whole house do you recon this is cheaper than the kitchen decking? or just preference?

That's the world I find myself sir. It was my good intention that put me in trouble. At a time when prospective clients believe contractors might run away with their money, or start nagging about how the agreed sum is not feasible after money has exchange hands, I took it upon myself to

a. Receive 50% of the project sum as mobilization fee and the balance only when project is TOTALLY completed .

b. No mobilization fee, then receive payment when project is TOTALLY completed.

I never knew I'd be giving the witches and wizards from my village a chance to be fanning themselves with my photo.

Allcopacetic is the best in my experience, so with couple of my friends. Fast delivery, genuine brands in both cables and electrical accessories. We did couple of million naira business with him, within months drama free.

I've just seen these dramatic pictures on nairaland about a burglary somewhere in Delta State.

I come away with two things: nothing will stop determined armed robbers and square rods are not fit for purpose as burglary proof.

So all home security systems and measures are just for the opportunistic small time thief. If there was a dog(s) in that compound, these robbers will shoot the dog from high up balanced at the top of the fence before jumping down when the coast is clear and safe.

Consedering the cost of fencing and all that, these pictures are really disheartening. No need investing all that sum into fencing that could so easily be breached.

We’ve discussed it on here before. It’s mostly a deterrent to the opportunistic robber.

It’s varying and progressively deadly levels of defense that’s necessary.

I like fencing because it clearly identifies intrusion zones if the shyte ever hits the fan.

The only thing I wished I didn’t do are the burglaries.

Also security is a community affair.

Yes, security is a community affair. It takes a village like they say. But the government could do more abeg. The robbers may never be caught despite leaving a hoard of DNA profile. How do you run a country without forensic Lab beats me.
