all this awusa people just dey yan as if nah only dem get naija....... mtcheew!

Na dem get naija oh since southerners are busy insulting and fighting each other.
Do you see northerners fighting themselves anyhow? No.
Even educated southerners are lining up behind a northerner as next president to replace Buhari if he does not contest.

PublicHealthNig:
After series of tweets lampooning members of the first family over comment absolving President Muhamadu Buhari of any knowledge of the shameful state of the Aso Rock clinic which the President’s wife Aisha Buhari claimed has no single syringe or Paracetamol, Social Commentator and author Femi Aribisala has called on Nigeria’s former ruling party to immediately resolve to field Dr Sule Lanido the former Governor of Jigawa state as its flag bearer in the 2019 presidential elections.

In a tweet posted on his tweeter time line, Aribisala wrote “PDP Should Immediately Resolve to Field Sule Lamido as president in 2019 in order to unseat incompetent Buhari and move the country forward.

Apart from the current haphazard and uncoordinated response to the monkeypox outbreak President Buhari’s Government has since gone out of favour with most Nigerians owing to large scale corruption among the president’s closest aides, high food prices, a complex and inefficient foreign exchange regime that has made the naira almost worthless in foreign markets, unemployment and a crippled industrial sector that has lost over 60 percent of its workforce in less than 2 and half years.
Owing to his failing health, most political analysts had expected the president retire after his first term but from his body language and revelations coming from the recent NNPC scandal it appears the president is already preparing for the 2019 presidential election.
Sule Lamido who is the front runner to clinch the PDP ticket for the 2019 presidential elections barring any unforeseen circumstances was credited with transforming the landscape in Jigawa including the construction of the massive state owned airport which was transferred to the Federal Government. Many who know him describe him as a detribalized Nigerian with a nationalist mindset unlike Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso a comment re-echoed by most members of the Redeemed Christian church of God after the destruction of their Mega Church by the current APC led government in Jigawa. In the light of current scramble into the PDP for tickets, delegates to the party’s presidential primaries will have a long list of candidates to choose from.

See cheaters seeking for asylum. Northern Nigeria has being cheating the country since 1914.
Restructuring will further make their Islamic agenda unrealistic and impossible.
God is wiser than the NORTH.

Why is southern nigeria ashamed of its resources?

If the north had crude oil, I can only imagine how they would be reminding us everyday.

What a shame!

Have you looked at the amount of money that has entered the Niger Delta since 1999? That amount is enough to create a very enviable state, not just in Nigeria but outside Nigeria. Take your battle to your leaders please.

We need restructuring but you're pointing accusing fingers at the wrong end bro

Tambuwal is talking about equality on all states, and look at the insults that followed.
Is it not equality you are looking for?

If no state is cheated from the resources they produce in the north or from the resources from the south?

After creating more local governments, and thereby having more members in the national assembly to checkmate the south, they are here talking about been cheated.

They are just afraid the feeding bottle is about to be taken away from their mouths.

They should gear up ooo cos they'll soon have to work for what they spend. No more lording it over us with their population and bringing nothing to the table.

Bloody parasites.

This is one reason why I support Northern youth's ultimatum.
But you are pleading that you don't want to go.
Go now.

@Dangwa,
that does not qualify for a hate speech.

And, oga Tambuwal already hinted North will not accept restructuring with this speech. The North has disproportionately benefitted from the present arrangement. The job in the civil service and the military and paramilitary sectors are dominated by Northerners. The resources from paying those workers is from a small section of the country. The North has the better infrastructure built with the ss oil money than any other sections of the country. The north has more political office holders than the region whose money is used to pay them. Hence, more of the resources go to the North. However, the North forgot to plan and just realized, despite cheating the ss, its people have not really fared better. More poverty and illiteracy pervades the North than the South. The present arrangement is not sustainable. Once the generation of the current leadership leaves, the arrangement will be discarded willingly or otherwise.

The North can continue to deny but the body language and words of its leaders including the educated ones clearly show Northerners are afraid of restructuring this country to a fiscal federation. It's a shame that having swam in the oil money for so many decades, they are not prepared to accept the reality.

It's not a case of disproportionate share of resources, it's about being productive and generating your own resources and using it to serve your development needs. The North should wean itself of over reliance on Niger Delta oil. Build your own local economy and empower your people my friend.

It's not about being 'ashamed' it's about being aware that there is more to building an economy than simply extracting crude oil and selling it abroad.

Nigerians should beware of voting for another ethnic president whose true interest is sectional.

My brother, you just hit them hard. Cheated from resources generated from where? If he is talking about the North being cheated from resources generated from the North, I will listen to him. All these Northerners are one and the same, you would think some are sensible but they are not.

What do you mean that the money is enough to create a viable state?
I'm from the west but the Niger deltans deserve all the money accrue from crude oil found in their land and water.
Does it occurs to you that countries like Saudi Arabia ( 27m people ), Qatar, UAE, Oman etc have much smaller population than the Niger Delta but with much larger oil deposits and revenue from crude oil.

Whether they deserve all the money or not is not the issue here. What have they done with the billions that they have received? What is the evidence to show that the poor masses will benefit more from larger funds? These are the questions we should be asking.

I don't want to make silly statement here, so I will have to ask what does he mean, by sharing the resources equally?
Is he referring to we In delta state sharing their resources In sokoto with them or he means delta state sharing its resources with them In sokoto? However we will like to state boldly and clearly that we have no interest In sharing their resources with us not to mention "equally" and we will not share ours with them either, However we can remit a certain percentage of our earnings to the centre and they can do the same.

Restructuring is when it comes as trade.
Thank you. He want the 13% going to ND states stopped and shared to them. That's his own interpretation of restructuring.

They said they want full control of their own money/resources, you are here trying to divert the discussion. What is your business with what they do with their own money? Do Southerners and people from the southwest ever ask northern farmers for how they spend their own money? please stop trying to divert the discussion, people are now wiser.

I am not sorry to say this as much as i hate to say, this is the reason why the North is backward.
